My motto about food is "never say never"... It may look disgusting, sound disgusting, but it could taste good in the end I kinda agree on lutefisk though. Not my fav dish...

I'll try any actual food, as for things that I've tried that I won't eat again;
tuna egg sallad chicken sallad potato sallad anything from arby's spinache tofu peas green beans califlower tomatos and raisins
and here are some of the other things I've tried and liked;
liver hog jowls tripe and haggis
those are the only one's I've liked that other people told me were nasty
and what is lutefish, I may have to try that next

I've had lutefisk, I liked it but SMALL portions were plenty. The only thing I really can't stand is raw onion; it upsets my stomach and the crunch and texture alone have me a little phobic. I love escargot, sushi, liver, haggis, tripe, etc. Not crazy about the "chicken sashimi" sushi craze, raw chicken is a little gross and plenty dangerous, but it doesn';t make me queasy.

Any food you will never sink your teeth in to? A national dish here in Norway is lutefish which I noway in hell will ever eat. "How can you know until you try" I've heard many a time. Something I don't need to try, the smell is enough. I wouldn't be caught dead eating shrimp either. Nuh uh. I remember a dish put in front of me when I was 9. Meat. It looked delicious and I took a big bite. I almost gagged. That was my introduction to liver. Like Daffy says; "DETHPICABLE" I haven't read the thread but I'm all ready marking from the lutefish mention. I'm of swedish decient and the smell of lye mixed with cod is legendary.

lutefish or lutefisk as it's known in the US is not something you need to try, trust me, It originates from the time before refegoration. Fish would be dry curied in lye to prevent spoiling. Then before Christmas the fish would be boiled so that the poison lye would be removed. It's the smell of fish and lye that turns people off of lutefish, the fish it self isn't all that flavorful. But remembering that 100 years ago this method of preservation was all my Sweedish ancestors could do keeps me humble

Oh I'm not that bad ! I'll eat most breakfast foods. eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, home fries, pancakes, waffles, toast (white bread only) meats : beef, pork, chicken and some fish **note** box must say Mrs. Pauls or Gortons. I'll also eat liver and kidneys. veggies : carrots, peas, green beans, corn fruits : grapes and oranges with no seeds, apples. American or cheddar cheese, potatoes, mushroom soup, tomato soup, noodles. I'm very particular about what I put in my mouth
