So, Cena / Lesnar again, Sheamus / Cesaro again, Rhodes / Usos again, Paige / AJ again, Miz / Ziggler again... They're sure stacking this card to get people to renew their Network subscriptions, aren't they? Then again, SummerSlam was the only good PPV in months, maybe they should go ahead with rehashing its entire card. But if it continues to be good, what's the problem?

But if it continues to be good, what's the problem? It'll be fine to watch, it's just that they desperately need to sell this PPV and they're not doing a good job of it. The problem now with WWE is the problem they've had for the better part of the last decade, they showcase importance at certain times of the year, then go on months-long stretches of utter irrelevance at other times. In a given calendar year, the only pay-per-views that truly matter are: - Royal Rumble (the start of the road to WrestleMania) - Elimination Chamber (the final stop on the road to WrestleMania) - WrestleMania (the biggest show of the year) - Extreme Rules (tidying up all of the feuds from WrestleMania season) - SummerSlam (the biggest event of the summer) And that's it. WWE has entered into this pattern where May through July and September through December don't matter. May, June, and July are just filler months to get through to SummerSlam, and September through December are four months of slow build toward WrestleMania season. When is the last time anything of remote significance in terms of main event storyline progression happened at a pay-per-view in September, October, November, or December? The Rock returning to the ring at Survivor Series 2011? The Shield's debut at Survivor Series 2012? Those are honestly the only two instances I can think of. They have a Network to build and expiring subscribers to entice, yet all they've done since the conclusion of SummerSlam is establish that John Cena will enact his rematch clause. Since SummerSlam went off the air with Brock Lesnar as the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, they've done nothing to grab those of us still on the fence, with subscriptions due to expire in a few days, to stick around. And that's because they are so stuck in their ways, that the only months that matter in WWE are January through April and August. Over half of the year in WWE is utterly meaningless. Why should we continue to pay $9.99 a month for that?

We're honestly at the point where WWE might as well set up an off-season from September-January. Might as well take a break while football runs roughshod over everything.

Random note, I loved how Heyman screamed "HERE COMES THE PAIN!!" several times during Brock's suplexes to Cena at Summerlam. Very entertaining. I demand more of this at Night of Champions!

Smackdown Spoilers: {Spoiler}Stephanie McMahon announced that Paige will defend the Divas Championship against Nikki Bella and AJ Lee in a triple threat match.
I assume Brie gets added on Raw or else she costs Nikki the match and we spin off into Brie/Nikki and Paige/AJ Part III.

I assume Brie gets added on Raw or else she costs Nikki the match and we spin off into Brie/Nikki and Paige/AJ Part III. {Spoiler}I think it'd stay a three way, because Paige beats Brie on SmackDown, ergo knocking her out of contention. Then Brie costs Nikki the title at NOC, allowing Paige to retain it.

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}How big a shitstorm will there be if Nikki wins? {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}About as much as last time? Considering she beat Beth Phoenix for it. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}To be fair, when she won it, most people were expecting her to drop it to a returning Kharma, so those who would lose it let it slide. So, by the time Layla was the one coming out and winning the title, she'd already become the former champion and attention was then shifted to Layla.
As for the initial question, probably a couple of threads with one of them getting locked.

I was honestly expecting a 6-Pack Challenge consisting of Paige, AJ, Brie, Nikki, Natalya, and Eva Marie. I guess this will do, though.
