The Kris Lewie Gut Check match. That would have been bad for a local indy. I am not sure that any single gut check segment makes it up there with worst of all time but I hated when the three judges were talking most of all. They were trying to make it like a reality competition show where they are figuring out who won and who they need to cut but they did it so badly. I also hated when Hulk or Brooke would talk to four people before randomly picking one to be the #1 contender usually for really stupid reasons. Pretending to be a boring reality show was a terrible decision.

I think that was at Slammiversary, not on Impact(still sucked either way, though). The Lockbox was definitely Impact. I watched it and I haven't bought a TNA PPV since it was a weekly show. It was not only on Impact, it main evented Impact. Terrible, terrible segment.

Probably not the worst ever but I remember hating this. I don't remember this at all, but I see Disco Inferno and Mr. Anderson dressed up like surfer Sting. I don't understand how this could be not awesome?

I really think that as bad as the lockbox challenge was it was better than the segment with Anderson I mentioned and the immortal promo because it moved the story forward. I mean it had a title change so at least it was not pointless.

I saw the Lockbox Challenge earlier today, and boy, it was stupid. Tara lost the title w/o defending it; and she cared about getting her tarantula back more than having the Knockouts Championship, until JB told her she lost the title. Angelina Love wins the belt...by opening a box. Velvet Sky challenges Angelina to a "Leather and Lace" match, instead of, actually, going for the Knockouts Championship; her box gave her the opportunity to choose whatever match she wants, and she doesn't go for the gold? What an imbecile! Daffney gets the box that requires her to do a striptease or else...she's fired. I must admit, I kinda wanted to see Daffney strip ("Zombie Hot" or not), but then Lacey von Erich comes out, and hits her with...the Ugly Stick? Then she strips, and Angelina and Tara fight while she's continuing a striptease. It was ridiculous, and it made the Knockouts Championship lose a ton of value in my opinion. I can't see why anyone would defend the Lockbox Challenge.

To contrast the 10/14/10 promo, when they revealed the Bully Ray deal that he was apart of Aces and 8s, one thing they did well that I liked was throughout the show, they would have 1-2 minute promos throughout the show with Bully Ray explaining what happened. That's a good idea there, but there are other ways to do it.
The whole 10/14/10 deal is typical Russo nonsense of trying to stuff 10 pounds of shit into a 5 pound bag. That whole segment could have been done in what, 3 or 4 weeks? So like, they didn't just f*** over the audience with bad television, they f***ed themselves by not being able to build up a proper program and maybe get some ratings in the end, building up to different segments.
It's like THAT Jackie Gayda match. There were worse matches technically, but it's significance is what makes it the worst. I guarantee there were worse segments in TNA. The Lockbox challenge comes to mind. But nothing incapsulates the incompetence of the promotion more then the 10/14/10 45 minute bunch of bullshit.

-Clair Lynch.
-Kurt Angle, Jeff Jarrett and Angle's kids.
-Any of "I told Dixie Carter I would raise the bar, Brother!"
-Flair and his head menstruation.
-JokerSting.
But the Worst of them all it was pre-Impact but it was Roddy Piper showing up and add-libing saying to Russo that he killed Owen Hart. You want to talk about "awfulness" ths was the Zenith of Crap.

I'd have to say that Bully putting Dixie through the table was pretty bad. The whole thing was just very awkward to watch. The only moment that was any count was watching Dixies head bounce off the mat.

Sorry if it was mentioned already, but Hogan saying that having 6 sides never got tna anywhere...it got them to a point where they could pay his salary, which after his regime the money was pretty much over with.

I know I already posted the Immortal marathon promo but I do have one more that I can't believe hasn't been mentioned.
The single 2:30 sec segment that made TNA look like a complete joke of a company more than anything I have ever seen. Whomever decided to broadcast this deserves to never work in TV again.

It was a match not a segment, but the very first match of the big "Hogan has come to TNA!" episode was a cage match ending in a DQ. On the night they did (and knew they were going to )do their highest rating in company history, they opted to present that.
That's how you keep viewers. Hell that entire episode could be nominated. "Okay everyone's watching? Great! ITS TIME FOR THE NASTY BOYS!"

Can I nominate the nearly THREE solid months, from the press conference in October '09 to his actual debut in January '10, of having to hear redubbed commentary mention every five seconds that Hogan was coming to TNA? I know it's not a single segment, but it damn near ruined quite a few others.

Hell that entire episode could be nominated. "Okay everyone's watching? Great! ITS TIME FOR THE NASTY BOYS!" Just exclude Taylor Wilde and Sarita vs Kong and Hamada, and AJ vs Angle from that nomination. Those were 2 fantastic matches.

Of course since it's TNA, lets look at the status of those workers you mentioned: Wilde: no longer with company Sarita: ditto Kong: ditto Hamada: ditto AJ: ditto Angle: On his way out. With that kind of turnover you'd think the episode happened 20 years ago, not the beginning of 2010.

While at the time it wasn't the worst thing ever as it raised eyebrows, I believe Samoa Joe being kidnapped by ninjas is still the worst thing ever. Nothing happened. No payoff. Its freaking Samoa Joe and all we get it Taz saying he's on the case by like calling Joe's phone.
Then Joe comes back with a cock on his face for no reason.

If I could pick every time Orlando Jordan was on screen, I would, if for no other reason than because he actually thought that being a perverted, Lady Gaga-esque weirdo could somehow be seen as inspirational to other bisexuals. Goldust did stuff way weirder, but because it was just a gimmick and he was heterosexual, everyone ignores it. Zack Ryder did the squeezing lotion thing. Again, heterosexual, ignored. The fact that Orlando Jordan was openly and visibly bisexual on a wrestling show, no matter how weird his character got afterwards, was absolutely inspirational. I'm trying to think of a time in wrestling that bisexuality has had a more progressive mention or appearance in the history of wrestling, and I'm drawing a blank. Look beyond wrestling, and his debut is STILL one of the most visible portrayals of a bisexual character in the media, Think you'll ever see the bi flag on Orange Is The New Black or Constantine, despite both main characters being canonically bi? There was one on Impact Wrestling when Orlando debuted. There's a reason Bi Community News had him on the cover of their magazine. There's a reason his face was up with other bi celebrities at the first pride festival I went to. Screw this perspective that because his gimmick was relatively unusual, it erases the fact that he was the first openly bi wrestler in any major company. I resent Orlando because he had the chance to do something actually progressive and then gave us...that. He did a poor job at representing us. It's visible, but you can't tell me you want the most visible representation of bi people to be some glittery prancing freak. I look at "people" like THAT and it makes me shake my head in pity and shame. I just wish that the first openly bi wrestler in any major company wasn't so much of a offensively stereotypical caricature.

She also should have added no one likes when someone who does not know what they are doing destroys a company she bought.

No, go ahead and count AJ / Angle, given it ended in a Montreal Screwjob rehash up against Raw burying the hatchet on that.
