I had thought that it might be interesting to see if you guys liked any of my potential, future sigs. Choose wisely, you may be seeing far too much of it. Satan Surfing: You don't want to go to hell. They still have dial-up. It will take forever to download your porn. Luke's night out (my current sig): Luke learned why the Rebel Alliance discourages their X-Wing pilots from drinking and flying. Hey Buddy: Wanna buy a puppy? I won't ask what you plan on doing with it. Be careful what you wish for: Dammit! How many times do I have to tell you that when you use the Wish Spell to be specific? Saying, "I wish that dragon was dead" does not work well enough!! It may be fake, but...: Yeah, it's a fake. It still is creepy, though. Deny it, I dare ya. There's a sale on fish food!: There's a sale on fish food! YIPPEE!!!! They could have made this instead: I cannot believe that they made the Dungeons & Dragons movie when they owned the rights to this trilogy. This was J-Lo, back when she was still hot. This was J-Lo, back when I still thought that she was hot.

For those who wonder, "Be Careful What you Wish For" is inspired by a gaming session that I DMed. One of the players tried to cheat out of the battle by using his ring of 3 wishes (creative DMs know how to make those work for them and against the party). His wish was, "I wish that this dragon that we are fighting was dead." What I gave them was a dracolich. ;D

Well, if you want to know where the credit goes, I can give it a try. Half of these pics were made on contract for TSR in the late 80's, early 90's. The names of the specific artists are unknown to me, but if you can find the artwork books that they sold in the mid 90's you might find their names. The crashed X-Wing I found on a sci-fi artwork page ran by a guy who calls himself Stuss (I think). I believe that he is the artist, but I'm not sure. The Aquaman one I pilfered from the original animated gif thread. The ghost one is a very widespread fake whose original source is unknown. The J-Lo one is from my private collection taken by my camera. It was the only picture that I could post here.

I'll try to roll with it.
BTW, it occurred to me that many people probably wouldn't understand "They could have made this instead". Wizards of the Coast, the company that owns D&D, put out that abyssmal movie to promote their new 3rd edition line. The thing is, they already had a best-selling novel line already. The original Dragonlance trilogy (Dragons of an Autumn Twilight, Dragons of a Winter Night, and Dragons of a Spring Dawning, a.k.a. The War of the Lance, or the Chronicles Trilogy) had sold an enormous amount of books. They were so successful that they spawned a book line that numbered in the hundreds of titles. Why they didn't go with the proven winner I do not know.
For those who do know what I am talking about, wouldn't you have loved to see the scene in the pic in some form? Sturm deserves that, don't you think?

I'm going to vote for Fish Food, with the proviso that if it turns into one of those board-crippling animated sigs (like Merc's awesome but energy-sucking Dancing Batman) you change it.

I think a photo of Trish Stratus as a nurse would fit perfectly with the Dr. T persona.

I think a photo of Trish Stratus as a nurse would fit perfectly with the Dr. T persona. Semper Fi, Erik Majorwitz Dammit! I knew I was forgetting something! I got to say, I'm surprised that most people are picking the fish food one. That was a last-minute replacement for the guy who busted a move on Maury when DNA tests confirmed that he was not the father. That one would have been as hard on the board as the dancing Batman. I am pleased to see a couple of people get the wish one though. Now I feel the need to sell everyone on the Dragonlance trilogy (they are now selling the Chronicles trilogy as a single hardback, complete with authors' notes to the side of the text!). I guess everyone got their fill of the Satan one. I thought that everyone liked that one.

J-Lo when she was hot, is always a nice diversion. I agree. I'd use that for my desktop if I wasn't sure that my wife would give me crap for it.
