You could say WWE believes in The Shield. The documentary on the Network let it be known they believe in all 3 guys to be main eventers. They also got footage from ROH, CZW, and Dragon Gate for it. They're not doing that for guys they don't believe in, they're not doing that for guys they don't see as a new version of Rock, Austin, and Foley. For real? I haven't seen it (I don't have the Network) but that's great news. I mean, it's always been sort of obvious that they like all three, but when they commit the time and resources going the extra mile to show how much they not only like them, but how much they've invested in Reigns, Rollins and Ambrose, that's still great to hear. And yes. Those three CAN be a new main event triumvirate. And if WWE keeps pushing them the way they have, they will be. Yeah, they showed footage from all 3. Them showing ROH footage isn't a big deal, because the WWE seems to have a great relationship with ROH. Showing CZW and Dragon Gate USA footage on the other hand, shows how much they believe in Rollins and Ambrose. They're giving CZW and Dragon Gate major advertising right there, and it's so they can show early footage of Ambrose. The WWE believes in them, and in the documentary they put over how The Shield after their debut took everything by storm, and became the thing you had to see.

I cant wait to see 2 years from now the "Is anybody else sick of Dean Ambrose?" thread. I imagine by then we will be hearing things such as he's over booked, he's over pushed, he only has 5 moves, he got mad at a restaurant once so I lost all respect for him, they should have pushed Reigns instead.

I'm getting a little suspicious that WWE is purposely attempting to recreate what happened with Batista/Bryan with Reigns/Ambrose organically. I think they may have learned from that experience and that Ambrose may be their horse, but making him the underdog in terms of push may only make his support grow.

Methinks people are reading too much into this story.

He's got all the best qualities of Roddy Piper, Stone Cold, "Loose Cannon" Brian Pillman, and 1997 DDP.

I love how we're at a stage now where the hottest feud every year seems to be WWE versus their own fans.

I'd be fine with Ambrose staying as an upper-midcarder. I just fear that once he hits main event, WWE creative will think "you know what this guy is missing. A comedy routine!" then he'll be calling people Clown Shoes, spewing a lame catchphrase and buddying up to Cena, Sheamus and Hornswoggle on a weekly basis.
Man, I have little faith in WWE's creative team. But really, can you blame me? They drop the ball so often. Mr Butterfingers,

Mr Butterfingers, Personally I'm looking forward to Reigns' first 1 on 1 title feud where Reigns brings the zingers to his opponent from the School of Lashley.

WWE Creative probably knows that.

Ambrose: Not ready Reigns: ready facepalm.jpg Reigns is far more polished (by the E's standards) than Ambrose. But Ambrose has more depth and substance to him. I think he's got the best shot of succeeding if WWE botches Reigns already-Super-obvious push.

I think he's got the best shot of succeeding if WWE botches Reigns already-Super-obvious push. See, this I don't get. How can people say Reigns is polished when he sucks at pretty much everything. Can't talk, little charisma, mediocre in the ring, boring to watch. He's not polished at all. He's got potential don't get me wrong. I see glimpses that he can be good in a few years and he was fine in the Shield with more talented guys to cover for him. But no way should he be pushed so strong so soon. He should linger around the midcard for a few years. Booked to look strong but not invincible, put in feuds with veteran wrestlers to improve and told that he needs to take acting classes since he can't cut a promo to save his life.

WWE should just recognize when someone is over and talented and push them on those merits. I don't care for Reigns' push, but they're basically throwing him under the bus if this is true.

Why do some people seem to always want their favorite superstars to be rushed to become face of the company? You're worse than the WWE. Just enjoy the push he's currently getting, and wait to see where it goes. Stop actively trying to look for things to complain about.

Speaking for myself, I don't care if my favourites ever become the "face of WWE" or not. As long as they get to have great matches and great feuds, then I'm happy. Any world titles are just a bonus for me. I don't need a stamp of approval from WWE or to see my guy on ESPN or whatever to justify my support (and in some cases, financial investment) of that guy.

If there's one thing that can ruin Dean Ambrose for me it's everyone going into "it's sooo unfair, I hate you, this business sucks, they hate the fans, WWE is doomed they don't know what they're doing, I'm never watchin again!!!" mode if he isn't instantly made WWE Champ like...yesterday. We've kinda been there already with someone else.
