Wake Me Up by Avicii. It combines everything I hate about modern top 40 into one incredibly overplayed package.

I don't know what it says about me, but the first song he's talking about is "Break Free" by Ariana Grande ft. Zedd.
Also, let me be among the many of you to say "Rude". So freaking annoying. Also, getting pretty tired of "Fancy" at this point, but I was never a fan of it in the first place.

I think mostly it's not by choice. At least not for people who complain about it. For instance the only time I listen to those annoying songs on the radio is when I'm at work and someone else is picking the radio stations. Also, I have to drive the company's van as part of my job which only has plain old radio. However, then I usually just stick to the classic rock station. Although the station in my area, WROR has a super reptitive selection so I venture outside of it now and then. What kind of station is WROR now? WROR is the classic rock station in Boston. Also, anyone got an answer for me about what the hell that first song is? Also, where can I send it hate mail? Probably send some hate mail to the people behind it too. Edit: Oops looks like someone answered my question already

Robin Thicke - Blurred Lines Pink - Learn to love again
These are 2 songs if possible I would go back in time and prevent from ever existing, I could happily go the rest of my life without hearing either ever again.
f*** you Heart FM

Also, Skinny Love by Bon Iver. It was played constantly at work... sounded like the singer was wearing a shock collar.

Rude seems too be on the radio every time I turn it on. Makes it worse that the job radio ALSO plays it. It's like no escape from that one. I still think the years most annoying has to be Turned Down for What? Little Jon. I'm like how is this even a hit. I go do that. What made it more annoying was going to a birthday dinner and having my friend sister REPEATING it every time the waiter comes around only because the waiter admitting to going to clubs.

Is "Happy" still getting airplay? This is perhaps the one recent pop song that doesn't annoy me, but I actually somewhat like Pharrel's voice, and since its not overexposed to me, I'm pretty indifferent to it. He does need a post-grunge follow up for it named Angry though.

I was coming in here to say "All of Me" by John Legend, because I seriously want to meet the person that's like, "No really, I like that song!" as if the song has any redeeming qualities about it. It's just the most pathetic, whining, miserable elevator music song on the radio today. But then I remembered that "Rude" by Magic is still out there. I forgot about it because any time it comes on the radio I dive to change the stations, even if it means veering into oncoming traffic. I'm going to two weddings in the next three weekends, and so help me god, if either reception plays that song, I'm walking out and making a big scene on my way out the door. F*** that song forever. It was written EXCLUSIVELY to be "the wedding hit of the summer". It's just the most shallow money-grab since Vitamin C made that graduation song. I think "All of Me" is okay, which is to say that it's pretty inoffensive. That said, I am mad that "All of Me" plays about ten times an hour back to back, whereas "Made to Love", a superior song from the same album, gets no radio play at all. But that Rude song... criminy. That shit is awful in the worst way. Like, post- Chuck and Larry Adam Sandler-movie awful. Bucky Larson awful. I am so glad I don't listen to top 40 stations. Most of the time, I'm plugged into TuneIn or Spotify, but even when I'm not, I work in a mall where they basically just play old school R&B. The song I've heard the most this month is "Dilemma" by Kelly Rowland and I'm completely fine with that.

I don't have a problem with Rude because I have to go out of my way to hear it. I've hated All of Me since it was overplayed on the R&B station. It boggle my mind that people use it as a jam for their weddings and engagement parties. There's a song they play on the hip hop station about taking dick that get on all of my nerves.

Happy.
From the first time I heard it I was like, "I feel like I've heard this song 40 times ALREADY."
Just the way its produced makes it sound that way - which really speaks to Pharrell's genius at making hits.
