I hate most digital distribution and the idea that it may become the primary way to distribute media. I do like the convenience of it and the fact that it can never be "sold out" on the first day. What I don't like is that you'd need to have an internet connection, that it could be pulled down and never be downloadable ever again, that you can never actually "own" the item(just the license), and servers arean't forever. Just speaking for books as digital media, creators get WAY more of the royalties that way (at least indy creators do).

Earlier, I mentioned "Nolan Batman wasn't perfect." Let me say the same about Raimi Spider-Man. Of course, there's the third movie, and what hasn't been said about that yet? I hear it was even blamed eventually for masterminding 9/11. Now the first two were very good and mostly faithful to the source material. But it is not without flaws...Maguire mostly being silent as Spidey, Power Ranger Goblin, Kirstin Dunst (I didn't mind her but I am speaking for others), the shoehorning "American Hero" into Spidey's image, and the beginning of the trend of Spider-Man needing to be unmasked at least 2-3 times per film.
To be fair, however, a perfect Spidey film would have Raimi doing the stories and Webb doing the Spidey scenes.

Oh the Raimi films get corny as hell at times; enjoyable, but corny.

- I no sympathy for Ric Flair as he only has himself to blame for in his current situation in life. * Also the WWE should stop bailing him out unless he sorts himself for good because currently they are just being enablers - If TNA does end up going out business within the next year or so honestly I'm not going to be too guttered about it. Like others I've wanted to see them succeed but its pretty clear that after 12 years that no matter what they do, they are never going to be a viable alternative to the WWE and whatever progress or good will they are able to create for themselves they will end up pissing away. ...there are still people with sympathy for Ric Flair? On other sites I've come across quite a lot actually.

I feel a lil sympathy for Ric cuz of Reid; it's gotta be really tough to have lived the kinda life you've lived, and seen your youngest son die as a result of living the exact same way.

- I zero interest in seeing MMA super fights such as GPS vs Anderson Silva or Jon Jones vs Anderson Silva. - While it wasn't a exactly unpopular on this forum to say but I say that Jesse Ventura was 100% right in his lawsuit against Chris Kyle as went to show that a lot of people are willing to let jingoism get in the way of facts and reality.

Overly nostalgic stuff is stupid and I don't understand people's obsession with it. I get liking particular things from a certain era but the "the 90's were the best time for animation and everything now is crap" kind of mentality or "all music now is garbage, back in the 60's...." I don't have that "everything is crap" mentality, but I honestly prefer retro stuff over a lot of today's stuff. Especially when it comes to gaming. Nothing about modern gaming really has me interested (Save for maybe Smash Bros and the upcoming Pokemon remakes)

It's just when people start talking shit on everything new that it gets ridiculous.

Apologies posted by well known people who post ignorant things such as Henry Rollins/Gene Simmons on suicide are merely attempts to diffuse bad publicity and criticism. Their true feelings are exposed in the initial statement that led to the criticism.

It also has to suck to be David, having seemingly kind of turned out normal and watching helplessly while you out-mature your dad by 8th grade and your little brother succumbing to addiction.

Agreed. The things that are Ric's personal actions I can't have sympathy for, but losing a kid, especially that young, I gotta feel for him for that.

Jay Leno, while not completely innocent in the 'Tonight Show' fiasco from a few years ago, is *NOT* the one truly to blame.
On a related note, while funny, Conan O'Brien has always come off as overrated to me.
"Friends" and "Full House" get a lot of revisionist hatered because times and tastes have changed. There's a reason they were both long running and popular shows. I think good number of people who say that either show "sucked" and "always hated it" are full of it

Are you sure those people have "revisionist hatered". There are many popular things I haven't been a fan of, but I've kept my feelings to myself because fans of those things can't wrap their minds around people having different opinions. Kind of like "positive" wrestling fans. In an effort to keep insurance prices down in the U.S. all licensed drivers should be required to pass the written and driving portion of their tests to maintain them every idk 10 years? There's a whole lotta people out there that shouldn't be driving a car nowadays. (posted after he gets home after almost getting T-Boned by an old lady who can't see over the steering wheel as she runs a Stop Sign) My brother's first car got totaled in a similar fashion right in front of our house. He was like a payment away from owning his car to boot. I feel for you man.

And since reading yet another GameFAQs list, I have one that's not just a joke about these being overplayed.
Everybody shut the f*** up about Shenmue.
There's a reason the franchise is dead, and it's that Shenmue f***ing sucked.
Deal with it.
...or go for a good version of the gameplay and go play Yakuza games instead.

Man, you really don't like Shenmue, do you? Why do you think it sucks? The franchise is dead because Sega screwed Sega. They shot themselves in the foot with the Sega CD/32X/Saturn trifecta, leaving them in a huge amount of debt. Shenmue was the most expensive game (in 1999) at $47 million. They failed to make their money back. But, can you admire their ambition back then, trying to make Shenmue into something huge?

Selling from an artist-owned online store is the only way the indies make money from music sales at all, and even then it's still concerts and sales of other merch earning them a lot more.

Earl Hebner was a backstabbing two faced coward who deserved every bit of the disrespect and flack the fans gave him. One of the Harts, if not Bret himself, should have knocked his teeth out.
Rick Flair has always been an average wrestler at best and his "WHOOOOOOOOO" filled promos have always been some of the stupidest and worst in pro-wrestling.
Citizen Kaine is a boring and pretty stupid movie. It doesn't deserve the constant "NUMBER ONE MOVIE OF ALL TIME EVER!" title heaped upon it. King Kong was far more ground breaking, not to mention interesting and fun, than Citizen Kaine.
Frank Miller's Batman: Year One is pretty much the only good Batman thing he's ever written. Everything else is garbage.
Spider-man hasn't been good for almost 20 years. Any hack writer or editor that can't think of anything to do with Mary "Mrs. Spiderman" Jane really sucks at their job.
Owen Hart was a far better wrestler than either Bret or Shawn.
