It's hard to describe but Nitro has a very good look and feel to it.

Nitro 90 is kind of a downer. Until the main event, everybody that wrestles is dead besides Scott Norton. Shark, Pillman, Guerrero, Road Warrior Hawk, and Big Bubba.

So is it a 360 thing to only have 92-148? I still don't have the first 91 eps

Almost done with the shows from '95, but a couple of things:
1) Considering Hogan's history of always trying to go over, I was happy he was "playing ball" sort to speak with the heels. They got the title off of him, albeit he never lost it clean, but knowing his ego, he could have just as easily pulled creative control and put it back on him.
2) I think it was Heenan who said it but whoever was on the book did a terrific job of intertwining all the storylines.
Hogan got screwed by Jimmy Hart...who is managing Lex Luger...who is Sting's best friend...who Macho doesn't trust and they're all feuding with Flair. It's kinda cool and creative storyline.
BTW, Eddy Guerrero was kinda getting a semi-big push around this time. I didn't see a lot of his WCW work but they had the foresight to try and get him over.

I still find it hilarious that Hogan asks Luger what he's doing in WCW and that he should go back to where he came from on the very first Nitro, considering most of WCW's hardcore fans felt the same way about Hogan and were probably far happier seeing Luger despite spending the last two years in the WWF than they ever were seeing Hogan. Hogan acting like he's more WCW than Luger and has the right to tell anyone they don't belong in the company is absolutely hilarious to me.

Having been more interested in Shawn Michael's boyhood dream story I didn't see a lot of these 95 and first half of 96 Nitro's. The Luger-Sting soap opera is captivating and really unique. I also didn't realize how close Hogan and Savage were in WCW so will make the Hogan turn more impactful.

Okay, I'm in September of 1996 (skipped 1995), and my god does it give me some perspective on the nWo. Mainly, the fact that Randy Savage ever joined the group is f***ing stupid. He was awesome as a babyface defender of WCW, and they beat his ass on nearly every show and even spray painted Elizabeth. Nothing they could possibly say in a promo or on commentary could make sense of Savage joining these guys.

The debut episode is f***ing awful. Pilman V Lyger was a botchfest Mongo is nearly as shitty as Rob Bartlett. running a mall makes them look pretty busch league. They seem to take every opportunity to allude to WWF related things. I'd say most of the 1995 Raws I have seen are more entertaining than this. Sting V Flair wasn't too bad though I guess. Also am I meant to be excited about Luger? he's basically WWF's failed attempt at manufacturing a main eventer right? Wasn't he basically a midcarder before he jumped to WCW? why should I care about him and Hogan feuding? I assume it picks up? Well with Luger it was more of a shock because he was on a WWF ppv the night before. Literally nobody knew his contract expired (on the WWF side), he had Sting contact Bischoff weeks before and they made the deal in secret.

How can I find it specifically on the WWE Network?
I'm having a hard time finding these shows unless I search 'Nitro.'

It was 8 days after the PPV, but 1 day after he had appeared at a house show in Halifax, I think. Somewhere in Maritime Canada

Probably not the right thread for this.... but does anyone know why they stopped the Raw uploads with the August 7 (I think), 1995 episode?

I've been watching the first few Nitros in succession, and the one thing I've noticed is that although there are lots of promos, for the most part, they're awesome! Everyone is really intense and to the point, even though they're not going off of a detailed script (wink wink WWE). I'm waiting to see when they stop ending the shows with the three-man commentary team on camera though.
Also, say what you will about WWE's PG writing of today, but the Giant cackling like a Captain Planet villain in his monster truck while Hogan is all mad and pounds on the side of it is the cheesiest damn thing I've ever seen.

One thing I do hate is Gene Okerlund trying to get himself over, and consistently cutting them off when they're not even done with their promos. It's pretty annoying.

Just 3 weeks before he was fighting Hogan for the title. Actually it was funny because that night on commentary he tried SO hard to explain why, I'm guessing DiBiase invited him to his Florida house and Giant saw how big the house was and how many cars and motorcycles there were and he realized that the key to him having that for himself was joining the NWO. He's trying and failing to tell this story because Hogan kept interrupting and Hogan finally flips over the announce desk while Giant is mid-sentence so he never finished his story lol.
