I am liking the post episode exclussives. I hope they have that for the 12/19/97 episode, so we can see the whole Sting / Hogan match, I know WCW has the footage of the match finish.

The 11/4/96 episode has a edit. And when you find out you probably going to want your subscription back, they edited out the "Santas With Mustles", which is one of the most unintentional hillarity was Hogan talking about how he was going to win an Oscar.

I started watching them in order. This is great. I watched and taped every episode of Nitro back then, but I haven't seen these first episodes in forever since they got taped over long ago. Fantastic memories. I'm about 4 episodes in now. Lots of Macho Madness. Oooooh Yeah. Sabu's debut match was good, but it seemed like they botched the ending. Funny how many guys lose in their debut on Nitro. The Giant is downright comical. The scene where he ran over Hulk's motorcycle was so corny it was funny. I'm loving this. I gonna try to marathon through all these slowly but surely.

WCW did air the ending of that match on the first episode of Thunder, but we'll see if they'll keep that when they air it.

Kidman vs Malenko the week after Mysterio wins the title. Kidman busts out the Shooting Star Press - misses - Tony schiavone calls it a backflip.

Anyone watching the Nitros and the corresponding pay per views for that month? I'm in November of 96 now so World War 3 is coming up.

I haven't seen any of these, I didn't even know they existed. Is it on every episode? I always turn it off after the copyright logo at the bottom comes up, although so far I've just been fast forwarding thru them all to just see the nWo stuff

I have been watching a few Nitros. They have not been good shows. Maybe I was blind at the time. 8/26/96 was HORRIBLE. I'm not an overly critical guy but come on.
Who's idea was it to go up to Juvi after his very first match and give him an interview. The guy spoke zero English. All of the matches were sorta bad. Jericho vs Alex Wright was ok, then buble gum Jericho wouldn't accept a count out victory. Lame
9/2 Who gave Buddy Valentino a job against the Harlem heat? Oh the Steiner Brothers vs The Blue Bloods. Scott never officially gets in the ring and wrestles. He just poses.
These haven't been good so far

Halloween Havoc 95 I actually just watched last week before they had put the Nitro shows up. World War 3 I've seen a couple of times, but for some reason, I've always found that show to be pretty good.

I just made it to the Piper Hogan feud in 96.....so WHY the hell did they use that stupid "I'm Your Man" music video to hype up the feud?! At first I thought it was a joke like "oh, after this is over it will show the announce team laughing and it will turn out this was sent in by nWo to make Piper look stupid" kinda like when Jericho showed Vince singing "Stand Back" and laughed at him....but nooooo they were like "look at the marquee! it says Piper vs Hogan!!" Seriously wtf were they thinking?! Was this some inside rib on Piper?

That show and especially World War 3 itself are awful. Covered it per my PPV note taking and the match is just completely incomprehensible due to the terrible camera work, and it just lasts for an eternity.

Good stuff there. Skip the rest.

Could someone elaborate on the post-show exclusives? I take it these are events that took place after the "We're out of time! We gotta go! See you next week on Nitro!" moments.

Yes, or at least I will once I finish watching the PPVs and Clashes that aired before Nitro. Just have to finish Summerslam '95 and the last Clash which is the one with Hogan visiting the Dungeon of Doom apparently.
