Yeah, I really don't think Charlotte's ready for the main roster yet. She's decent but still really inconsistent, and that's on the show where she's actually afforded lengthy matches with experienced wrestlers. Throwing her on the main roster to face the likes of Cameron or Eva Marie in filler matches would be a trainwreck.

Charlotte's deal is main roster ready. Basically she's heel Michelle McCool (pre LayCool), but way scarier and more charismatic. There's not much gimmick to screw up. Bayley, on the other hand...I dread hearing Michael Cole reduce her character to a few words like "special" and "different" and "child-like" with that annoying emphasis of his, while JBL blops along about how stupid she is and Lawler half-heartedly defends her. Think she's a little too old for Lawler

TOO BAD THEIR GIMMICKS WILL NEVER WORK ON THE MAIN ROSTER

I always thought the Flair name that was giving Charlotte an unfair push and she really wasn't very good.
It all clicked for me this week though. The way she came to the ring and her interaction with Bayley was immense, she reminded me of Beth Phoenix. She suddenly seems to have her character complete.

She's way better on the mic than Beth could ever muster though. Charlotte is a complete natural, she just needs to drop all the "see I was a gymnast before" type moves and focus on working like a heel, because that is going to be her bread and butter.

Sorry for confusion. I meant her presence when she came to the ring, rather than her mic work, was like Phoenix. She just looks like she owned that NXT title. Good to see a heel with absolute confidence rather than having to play a cowardly role.

Eh, not a huge fan of Bayley. She's damn good in ring, don't get me wrong, but I just don't see the attraction. Charlotte seems to have dodged the Lacey Von Erich/David Flair curse of being gorram awful too. And she looks rather attractive to boot (Especially with her hair up like post-takeover)
Anyway, IMO, before they go calling anyone up, they need to get more solid competitors for the division. Say either of these two go, we're left with Sasha, Becky Lynch & Alexa Bliss and whichever is champ. That's it.

Charlotte isn't ready IMO still very green for a call up, as Emma is finding out and as Paige found out during her babyface run the main roster is entirely different from NXT, and is obviously only being called up because of politics/nepotism/Ric, she even has a remix of Ric's theme song. Yes the match with Natalya was good but that was more Nattie than Charlotte for me. If anything Bayley and Sasha should be called up by now. If they bring her in, have her as a babyface being Ric's pride and joy and showing her off, then outcomes Paige cuts a worked shoot promo saying how she's only brought up because she's Ric Flair's daughter and that she hasn't paid her dues in the business etc, verbal spat and then brawl in the middle of the ring etc, would also be a good chance to bring in Saraya Knight for a couple of shows (shes a promoter/trainer as well now with her promotion in England - Bellatrix, she has no time for a full time schedule) and then you could have the Flairs vs the Knights possible. But knowing WWE Creative, I doubt they would do that. Paige was the first champion, and I believe the longest reigning one so far, vacated it a month or so after she won the Divas title the first time. I do not think the Flair family -v- the Knight family would mean diddly squat. The crowd would just see Dusty Rhodes' older, uglier, more toothless brother and some scraggy old goth bird with Paige and Ric Flair with Charlotte. Would be a laughable visual even to me, a Brit who loves the nutty Knight family.

You only have to ask the likes of Cheerleader Melissa/William Regal about them. Scraggy goth bird apparently.

That was not my opinion - like I said, I am a Brit and love the Knight family and what they're doing for UK wrestling. Just saying, for US fans who have no idea who they are, that is what they would see. I wouldn't say no to Saraya anyway so I don't think she's scraggy, lol

They're decent 'n all, but they'd still mean f*** all to the crowd at large. Shit, they're not even behind Paige that much, bringing in her family that 90% of them haven't heard of would be wholly pointless.

To be fair, indy fans likely aren't the best judge for what a RAW audience would think if she wondered out on a RAW to face off with Ric Flair one week.

Saraya would invert sound and the stadium would collapse on itself if you ever used her in the US.

She got a pop when she won the belt, go watch it back! and the crowd isn't Paige's worry anyway, she is the heel, plus this week on Smackdown the crowd were all eyes on her and all she needed was facial expressions to get their attention.

She gets a reaction when allowed to wrestle for more than 85 seconds, yes. Daniel Bryan got the pop of the night back in 2011 when he was wrestling Ziggler on PPV for the US title but people still didn't care when he came out to the ring. Paige needs to find a way to connect to the crowd. Her development is the anti-Enzo, in that Enzo is quite poor in ring but the crowd is so connected to him that they can say his promo word for word with him and often do - Paige is already as good as a female wrestler needs to be in WWE but has no relationship with the audience whatsoever. How she evolves after this AJ feud is vital for her.

Heels don't have relationships with the crowd, thats the babyface's job, its why so many wrestlers love being a heel.

Bayley will finally have her moment in the sun as she wins the belt. She will then promptly be called up to the main roster while still holding it, necessitating that she vacate it without actually losing it so she can be on the main roster full time. She will debut in an awkward segment during which only a portion of the audience will recognize her. She will be put in an unending series of matches and skits with another diva till the lukewarm response causes management to assume she is a flop and release her.
Sorry, too realistic?

A heel that does not have a relationship with the crowd comes out to silence - that is Paige. That is her problem. A heel with a relationship with the audience was Batista before WrestleMania - real heel heat and really working the audience and Bryan tapping him out made the main event title switch. As it is, someone beating Paige for the title is meaningless because Paige is a meaningless wrestling robot with faux lesbian crawling and AJ cloning - and I am the biggest Paige perv fanboy on the forum.
