Who would honestly leave the house wearing that? It's not the type of shirt one would wear outside. That's the type of shirt that I would wear around the house if I have no plans to go outside during a day off. |

How brazen and ridiculous can the WWE get at this point? They want ME to pay for the opportunity to advertise something for them. And I thought "stand up for WWE" during Linda's failed senate campaigns was bad.

Even if they don't sell one shirt, they have people talking about the shirt -- and hence the $9.99 meme -- just by advertising it on their website.

Could you imagine if other marketing people did that. Like, with Coke, instead of putting people's names on their bottles, they just put the price on it in big bold letters.

Here's how I look at the $9.99 thing - it's really not at all a good way to sell the Network, but I find the joke funny so I don't mind it.

Interestingly, I've joked my buddies who worked at the same theatre I did co-op there, Cineplex Cinemas Scarborough (where all the WWE PPVs are played), about having all popcorn and concessions be changed to $9.99 to match the WWE Network (U.S.) price.
So imagine your local movie theatre offers a popcorn/soda or food combo for $9.99 if you see a movie. Same for your local fast food chain, Best Buy, grocery stores, advertising on buses, newspaper, radio, TV, flyers, etc... promoting "$9.99".
