It wasn't a brogue kick though it was a jump kick. Sheamus never jumps like that and his other foot is planted when he makes contact.

One thing to remember that I never do myself it is a mistake to overreact to week 1 we will not know till week 3 or 4 for certain which teams are horrible and which are good. The Lions may be a great team catching the Giants on a bad week. The Giants may be a terrible team and the Lions are not really that good we just do not know yet and that goes for every week 1 game.

So I wouldn't call this west coast offense a work in progress. It just isn't working. Why are you running on 2nd and long? Eli is not meant for it. I know defending Eli doesn't look good right now, but he's not in the best environment with a shotty offensive line, and bad fitting system.

This is from a Giants fan too

@profootballtalk: TMZ isn't saying NFL had tape. TMZ is saying NFL could have gotten tape. Which we have been saying for more than a month.

Thing is, besides the 2 Super Bowls, Eli has proven himself to be a very good qb during his career. I mean,he made the other Steve Smith a pro bowler, as well as made other average players like Jake Ballard, Kevin Boss, amongst others to be solid contributors. That being said, he needs time to throw the ball down the field and not this quickly get rid of the ball B.S. good news is that we play in the NFC east.

@profootballtalk: TMZ isn't saying NFL had tape. TMZ is saying NFL could have gotten tape. Which we have been saying for more than a month. "NFL could have gotten tape" could mean a lot of things. For example, the hotel could have called the NFL and said, "Hey, we have this footage, you really should look at it." And the NFL could have balked at that offer. That's just as bad as the league having seen the video and doing nothing about it. I guess we'll find out in a matter of hours. If it's as bad as it could potentially be, this could mean Roger Goodell's job.

Eli is a great qb... in the playoffs.
In the season, he's Favre lite, he can win you a game, you just have to hope he doesn't lose it for you.

Eli is a good but aging QB stuck with a horrible O line, a system that A. he doesn't fit in and B. shouldn't be moving to at this stage of his career, and from what I saw tonight a bad defense. Coughlin has a job for life at this point. I doubt we see him go soon unless they end this year like 2-14 or he retires.

The "quickly get rid of the ball" stuff is unintentional with this offensive line's inability to block or hold together a pocket for more than a second.

Sounds like on Twitter that Weatherford has a high ankle sprain and the Giants might need a punter

Are they spraying Palmer with PAM every play? This is crazy.
Also, Dilfer sucks.
