And I shall just take this chance to restate my support for the idea of her as Dr. Shelby's prize pupil who believes in hugging all her issues out, but only with twist: Kane goes back to Dr. Shelby, who is let down that he fell off the wagon and says he has to put him partner therapy-with Bayley as his partner. Dr. Shelby leaves the room for a moment and Bayley holds her arms out and encourages Kane to "Hug it out. C'mon, huuuuuug it out!" When he refuses she narrows her eyes, scowls, and snarls in a coarse sounding voice "I SAID HUG IT OUT!!!" Kane reluctantly holds his arms open and she throws herself against him, sighing as she cuddles her face onto his chest. Dr. Shelby comes back in and is delighted to see them getting along as Kane glances around uncomfortably. yes Bayley and D.Shelby need to interact in some way. i know i mentioned the idea of Bayley being the prize pupil of Dr.Shelby but dunno if i was the first to do so or not. i can see her getting the NXT divas title though after a Tommy Dreamer like run of always coming close before finally winning it only in Bayley's case she gets bumped up to RAW right after winning it. and does an early Dolph thing where she runs around to everyone she meets backstage and says "Hi i'm Bayley the NXT divas' champ can you believe it?" <hugs> then runs off before anyone can say anything.

She'll win it soon, her time will come. Just seems that now they're gonna do a triple threat with Bayley, Charlotte and Sasha Banks.

Nothing will change with the divas until Total Divas ends. It's a good show, but it keeps a lot of women who aren't talented wrestlers on the roster and in the spotlight. Once it does end, put the divas on hiatus for a couple of months, promote a re-launch, and bring up Charlotte, Bayley, and Sasha Banks along with Paige, AJ, Naomi, Alicia Fox, and Natalya. Total Divas is a good idea executed poorly. It also allows the women to showcase character they wouldn't get otherwise. WWE just needs to stop booking the division entirely around the show. Right now, most of the Total Divas are afterthoughts, but Brie-Mode and Nikki-Mania are running wild. As things are now, the Bellas seem like they'll be a big part of things going forward. But, I can see one or both retiring from in-ring competition within the next 2 years, since Brie is going to be having a kid and Nikki's body is ravaged from teenaged soccer.

More like it is ravaged from the years of bullying from Brie

I think Bayley will be the next NXT Divas champion after Charlotte, but Charlotte is the bigger priority, and she is not losing the title until Raw is ready for her.
They are not going to shove Ric Flair's daughter into a WWE Divas title scene consisting of AJ and Paige pretending to be lesbians and the Bellas being on the Jerry Springer show.

I think Bayley will be the next NXT Divas champion after Charlotte, but Charlotte is the bigger priority, and she is not losing the title until Raw is ready for her. I disagree there, since Charlotte's been deceptively poorly-booked and spread too thin in recent months, partially by WWE (planning the breakup of the BFFs and expecting to blow off Sasha vs. Charlotte) and partially by the fans (with the WWE having no clue that people genuinely wanted to see Bayley vs. Charlotte get the proper blowoff it should have had 6 months ago.) With that properly done on Takeover (Bayley loses, gains Charlotte's respect again, Sasha causes stuff)- either it's leading to your regularly scheduled feud or a three-way feud, but either way I'd bet on the title going to the Boss instead.

Permanent NXT-er is no bad thing, especially for a female wrestler.

The story of Takeover was to begin Bayley's transition from comedy act to actual competition. While her fangirl behavior will still show up from time to time, I think she'll mainly play up the, "When I got here, I was overwhelmed, now I'm here, I've proven I can hang, and I want the championship."
Personally, I think she'll be the Sami Zayn of the women's division where she gets closer and closer to victory but keeps coming up short, building up to a huge, emotional moment for her when she finally does take the title. Only reason I say that is because her character is supposed to be the darling of the NXT fans. With that, you don't give her everything right away... you need to see her fail so you can feel bad for her, so when the title actually comes to her, you feel proud of her.

Yeah it will happen, it's not like getting the Diva's belt is a high mountain to climb. Hell Paige got the thing in her first match. I don't see why Bayley couldn't. I'd argue that they could run the exact same story with Bayley that they ran for Paige, and Bayley would pull it off better because she's better suited to it. I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking that.

The broader issue is more disturbing to me. They are drawing too much sympathy toward talent whom we are already sympathetic. Bayley and Zayn are "gosh, golly" fan favorites. They better be careful booking them to lose in belt matches...they are going to book, inadvertently, those wrestlers to the point where no one is going to care about them anymore.

Considering this is all the character development she would get on Raw...
JBL: All this hugging makes me *sick,* Maggle! What's she gonna do next, sit around a campfire and sing 'coombaya'?
Cole: She's having *FUN*, John.
JBL: But WHY? Why's she hugging everyone?
Cole: Cos it's *FUN*!
King: If hugs were drugs, Brady would be an addict!
Cole: It's Bayley, King.
King: Whatever.
...she's better off where she is.
