You are confusing two true stories: what got Rose in hot water was using U.S. Postal Service commemorative stamps celebrating the bicyle with one big wheel in front ... and he got those stamps from Cesaro, who collects bicycle-related stamps. |

I wouldn't describe a month's absence from TV necessarily a depush - losing night after night to everyone on the midcard for three weeks would be a depush. I suspect that the absence was due to some conflict over how to treat someone like Adam Rose. Let's face it: he's got an interesting and entertaining gimmick and can energize a crowd with his antics. They had someone in that position before - Brodus Clay, who got people on their feet, who entertained with a blend of comedy and effectiveness, and who could drive merch sales and even gates without having to do silly things like go after titles.
Rose will not necessarily lose the bloom by losing a high-profile match against someone on the way to the World title; much like Brodus didn't necessarily lose face against a monster heel. However, it would be a mistake to suggest that he be trotted out regularly only to lose: Hillbilly Jim rarely lost on TV, but had the benefit of prelim opponents for those occasions who put him over. Unlike the Wyatts, Rose's raison d'etre is fairly clear and he needs relatively little exposition for fans to enjoy what he does. He, like Brodus and Hillbilly Jim and JYD before him, really only needs what he already has to succeed. Keep him winning in some lower-midcard feuds like he has been and he'll continue to make WWE money. 8)

I don't care if this is newz. My headcanon is now that the Rosebuds are a bunch of hardened criminals that Rose frees and keeps on the Exotic Express as an unholy army of the night, and that he's been Kruger all along hiding it underneath a party boy exterior.
Could actually save the gimmick, really.
