www.mlssoccer.com/NEXTYeah, after nearly 20 seasons, the MLS is getting a complete makeover with "MLS Next". MLS Next is meant to represent all the shiny new things the league is getting this year. New logo, new expansion teams, new stadiums, and hopefully new fans. For a recap, here's all the clubs competing in the MLS as of 2015: Chicago Fire Chivas USA ( kinda questionable going forward though) Colorado Rapids Columbus Crew D.C. United FC Dallas Houston Dynamo LA Galaxy Montreal Impact New England Revolution New York City FC New York Red Bulls Orlando City SC Philadelphia Union Portland Timbers Real Salt Lake San Jose Earthquakes Seattle Sounders Sporting Kansas City Toronto FC Vancouver Whitecaps Teams will also be coming to Atlanta & Miami within the next 3-4 years. Here's what the new MLS crest looks like when customized for your favorite team.

Even though the Premier League and international friendlies dominate the discussion, we have a football thread.
However, I like the new logo... as well as the idea of no Chivas USA.
I should prepare since Indianapolis might be promoted to the MLS level by the end of the decade.

red bulls might as well replace the New York with New Jersey in their name, with the addition of NYC FC. They don't really placy all that close to NY anymore anyway

They don't really placy all that close to NY anymore anyway The only sports league that actually wants to admit they have a team in Jersey is the NHL these days. Though if NYCFC makes a whole lotta money, the name will probably change then.

MLS is cool, mainly because the level of play is getting better yearly(we still have nothing on the Premier League but still), and tickets are way more affordable than the big 4.

While I don't have a dog in the fight, my general support will go to the LA Galaxy

They don't really placy all that close to NY anymore anyway If the Red Bulls committed to being the "New Jersey Red Bulls", I'd actually consider cheering for them. I can't cheer NYFC due to their being part owned by the Yankees, but the Red Bulls "NY/NJ" bull just annoys me. They actually play in Harrison, NJ now, which is one town over from where I grew up.

Closest thing I have to a local team is Chicago Fire. Wonder how good they are.

I hope OKC gets an MLS team. That's more or less the reason they even made a USL Pro club(the Oklahoma City Energy FC) in the first place, because many of the recent MLS clubs started there.
Hell they're even an affiliate club of Sporting Kansas City.
So fingers crossed that they get the call up....
Though it'd be funny if they do, cause they have the same damn colors as Seattle....

I'm a kid that grew up on the Bronx & the Yankees, so NYCFC gets my support.

Come up with actual nicknames. Real and FC don't count as name.

Come up with actual nicknames. Real and FC don't count as name. I'd rather the league just choose to go all Euro with the Premier League-type names, or to just use goofy sports names like every other sports league in NA. Going with both just makes a weird blob of team names.

I have yet to meet a single person in this city to give a single damn about the Impact.
That being said, good on the MLS for managing to get to a somewhat relevant level after years of apathy and, as a fan of simple, 2D logos, this one is great.
