Unless they're omitting it from the WWE.com article, Chris Amann didn't say that. Here's the quote from the WWE.com article:

I feel horrible for Reigns, and I hope he's pain free and recovered soon. But this is going to sound horrible, but I'm kind of amused at picturing Vince's whole reaction to this, considering how mind-numbingly stubborn he can be on pushes.

Sounds more like Roman will back for HiaC or Survivor Series, but this definitely is gonna put a stop the momentum he's had for a while now. The pop when he comes back is gonna be sick, though.

They'll probably just focus on pushing The Big Show while Reigns is out of action.

They'll probably just focus on pushing The Big Show while Reigns is out of action. Well, he's rumored to take on Lesnar next after Cena, so...

If he's going to be the next Cena, he'll be back on Monday.

Well if anything he won't be out too long. Enough time to really put on some great matches with other fresh talent like Kane, Big Show, and Orton.

Agreed.
If Punk mirrors SCSA events of 2002, he could likely come back (since Jericho is leaving and Bryan still sitting at home) to fill in the void left by Reigns.

A weak abdominal wall is a sign of a weak man. Right up there with sneezing.
Get the man his bananas and a gorilla suit, he'll never sniff the main event again.

Damn. That sucks!
Hope he makes a full recovery. Never like to see anyone get hurt.

Sad for reigns but hopefully this is a wake up call about putting all your eggs in one basket. It's the WWE. They will never NOT put all their eggs in one basket. I don't think this quote is accurate or fair. WWE hasn't been putting its eggs in one basket. Its just that two of the three of the top face eggs they've been pushing since around Wrestlemania cracked, and the third is off making a movie.

If it is 10 - 12 weeks I would book Ambrose vs Rollins vs Reigns for Survivor Series. The triple threat needs to be done at some point and what a way to do it then where they debuted.

Oh man, if this somehow, someway, leads to Bryan toppling Lesnar at Mania...

Maybe next week, Roman Reigns won't be around! Now we need Roman to do the Rock's eye roll, and we're good
