I think this match will be the "Del Rio/Christian SummerSlam 2013" match. A match everyone shits on(Despite the participants being top quality workers) but ends up being one of the best matches of the ppv.

Orton's the guy who I always forget is booked on PPVs, but my heart sinks when it's time for the semi-main and I realise I have to sit through a Randy Orton match.

To be fair, a huge part of why no one cared about that was that they had had the same match on TV twice in the build-up to it both times with Christian winning, thus taking his chances of winning from, "Extremely unlikely," to, "The odds are in the negatives."

If Randy Orton gets speared by a weakened shoulder only for THE LEGLESS LIZARD himself to lock in a cross armbar for the win I'll laugh. ...I miss ADR on PPV. He was always good. And when Jericho/Orton feels more confusing and plugged in as a random extra than a latter day ADR run then you know something's up.

Clearly Jericho is still trying to save us from Orton's boring WWE championship run.

There is a storyline for this match - not an epic one but Jericho has been ripping Orton verbally for nearly a month saying he never wins the big match anymore, it's the reason Orton's gave up on Reigns because Jericho was verbally bitch slapping him.
I feel it's fairly obvious why the match is happening - am I too observant or does no one else pay attention anymore, lol

I get the two having a match. And I get them having it on PPV, it's potentially a decent piece of a good card. But the half-assed 'storyline' behind it is pointless.
I think they should've just announced the match and play up that it has title implications. Maybe even say winner gets an IC title shot, that belt needs to elevate because Lesnar as champ is so far above the main roster, to the point where Orton and especially Jericho are midcarders by comparison.

Why are they having a match? Because after Jericho's cage match with Wyatt, Orton assaulted Jericho in the trainer's room, and Orton did it because he was put down by Korporate Kane

It just seems like such a blatantly obvious "Get them on the card because they're too big to be doing nothing" feud. I get the two having a match. And I get them having it on PPV, it's potentially a decent piece of a good card. But the half-assed 'storyline' behind it is pointless. A face Jericho would've made a nice filler contender for Lesnar if he weren't leaving after this PPV.

I just have this deep feeling I am going to break so much wind during this match. I am making burritos all night long and feel as though I am going to take the time to break extremely thorough wind throughout this match.

I'm just sick of seeing Attitude era wrestlers in 2014. Heck, I'm tired of seeing Ruthless Aggression wrestlers in 2014! That too.

Jericho's 2013 run was the best of these three mini-returns by a mile. There, he had great matches against Cesaro, Daniel Bryan, Ziggler, Cody, RVD, Punk, etc. All of the above happened on free tv, too (SD, Raw, ME). He actually won against some of those guys, too. This run is just...there. The Bray feud didn't do anything for me, but I'm a bit iffy on Bray anyway since they seldom do anything interesting with him. A throwaway with Orton will probably be a good match, but I've seen it a dozen times over the years.

ŸAWN...did someone say Randy Orton had a match tonight? good Lord. Why can't he just retire already? Just take himself and his tattoos off my screen forever. This guy is the cure for insomnia to me. He needs to go. They've been pushing him since 1902 it seems like instead of 2002.

One of the sad realities of this board is many can dish out criticism, oftentimes unfairly.
Then when they are proven wrong, those same people are either hesitant to eat crow or just avoid it altogether.
I'm anxious to see the reaction to Orton vs Jericho.
