Maybe because it is the obvious thing-and they are trying to do something different? Sometimes the obvious choice is the best choice. Case in point, Nash texting himself when it obviously should have been Alberto/Ricardo since it was they who benefited from it. |

Case in point, Nash texting himself when it obviously should have been Alberto/Ricardo since it was they who benefited from it. For the time being, I'd say not pursuing the obvious has worked well for Rusev's character. I am quite glad they have avoided the inevitable Cena feud this far. And the time for Rusev to win the US title might actually be AFTER the apparently planned Cena program as a way of keeping him as a dominant heel even after losing his undefeated record. |

funny thing is that the guy that is doing nothing now and that a mid-card title run would help him out is Swagger. He doesn't have to beat Rusev(cause WWE probably have bigger plans for Rusev) but carrying the US title and defending it would probably do wonders to restore Swagger's image.

I don't think Rusev is above the belt but he don't need it either. Let him keep wrecking faces until he gets to Cena.
Something that intrigues me for when Rusev gets into that position is the idea of at least teasing the Super Athlete, Rusev and Big Bad Brock going at it.
