ND had some problems with that Navy team, and TOSU beat the Midshipmen relatively handily, especially considering they had a new quarterback. These Buckeyes are on a mission...

At this stage in his career I don't see Spurrier making another move and I really don't see Florida taking him. They need to think about their future, hiring the next big thing, not the guy that was the next big thing back when parachute pants were stylish.

Their mission's successful sortie generation rate is in danger of missing time on target. The next scheduled deployment is against the Spartans.

one rumor had him as the next Michigan Coach Eh, if he left, he left. They've improved for awful to just disappointing, but it's not like he's turned the program around or anything yet.

Billema at Arky was a poor fit IMO. Arkansas has the ability to recruit very good players but they just have a streaky reputation and so the true star quality talent goes elsewhere close by (Texas, OU, Bama

I think some of the AP voters have just gone full troll now. Both Texas A&M and Florida got a vote this week?

Ok, how in the sweet name of Jeebus did the Aggies get a vote? Look I like Speedy Noil but one guy showing up wearing the jersey of a team and performing when another 64 players just mill round for 60 minutes does not rate a ranking. I say it that way because literally Speedy was the only thing that went right that entire game...ok the running backs busted ass too. But getting an AP vote for almost blowing it? Nah dawg somethin smells

See, the thing of it is, the AP poll has all of the same problems as all the previous human polls did.
1) They are sports reporters, most college sorts reporters. Most sports reporters spend their saturdays covering games. They dont' watch 20 games a week, they watch a couple and check ESPN for the highlights of the rest. They're only slightly, barely, than the Coaches and Harris in terms of how little college football many of them see in an actual week. There are exceptions, sure, but it's Saturday and they're working, not sitting on their duffs watching tv.
2) They report on teams in their areas, so they have every tendency to be biased as hell.

ESPN College Gameday will be in East Lansing next week for Ohio State/Michigan State. Liking MSU here. Don't think this young OSU team is ready to win in East Lansing, may well have lost in Happy Valley if PSU didn't get boned in the first half on that fieldgoal after time ran out and the pick that should've been overturned but wasn't due to technical difficulties.

My predictions sure to go wrong for the rest of the season
- Mississippi State loses to Bama and Ole Miss, knocking them out of playoff contention.
- Auburn, Oregon, Michigan State, and TCU all win out.
- FSU gets bounced by either Miami or Duke.
- The playoff is Auburn vs Michigan State and Oregon vs TCU, Oregon beats Auburn for the National Title.

Auburn is so comically lucky it's ridiculous.
They have the biggest horseshoe up their you-know-what: literally everything that can go right can go right for them.

Auburn is so comically lucky it's ridiculous. They have the biggest horseshoe up their you-know-what: literally everything that can go right can go right for them. They also have a really, really good offense. If they had any semblance of a defense, they would easily roll over any team that stood in their way.

I expect Arizona St. to knock off the Irish this week and I won't be at all surprised if UVA gives FSU a big scare. UVA's defense is solid.
