Anyway when do you think enough time has passed to compare Legend Of Korra to Avatar: The Last Airbender? There are pros and cons to each series.
When all is said and done, I prefer Avatar: The Last Airbender. I prefer the structure of that series - one long storyline as opposed to four, (mostly) self-contained ones. And while Korra is a more interesting protagonist than Aang (not always as likable, but I couldn’t see Aang pulling off an episode like “Korra Alone”), I find the rest of Airbender’s cast to be stronger than Korra‘s. Not to mention, Airbender never had a season as weak as Korra’s second one turned out to be (the turnaround made between LOK Books 2 and 3 is really something). I ultimately enjoy both, though, and I think it’s all due for a big re-watch: from the first episode of AtLA to the last season of Korra.

honestly, I woulda liked not having it spoiled for me by my uncle (I don't have cable, have to wait for the DVD) but I like it. it actually makes all kinds of sense when you go back and re-watch things. very brave of Nickelodeon.

Aang had "The Storm" though.
I agree with you though, Korra was very much more like Zuko than Aang in the sense that her character arc was spread throughout the entire series. In a way, the final result definitely puts even her at her most frustrating in Season 2 into an entirely new perspective.
