Is it possible to puke with joy? Maybe. In all seriousness though, he had no business being put in that position. There's a reason that Headbanger Mosh never got a big singles push and main-evented WrestleMania, and that same reason should have been applied to The Miz. He's just fortunate that he came up during a time when WWE was willing to put the title on just about anyone. To be fair at the time, his only competition was green as shit McIntyre, a buried in chairs Wade Barrett, an injured with zero credibility after getting destroyed by Mysterio and Big Show CM Punk, SRS Jericho on Smackdown, and a freshly debuted Del Rio. And I think Jack Swagger..? Miz was over, not completely terrible in the ring, so I can see the logic in giving him the title. The booking afterwards and him just coasting once he won the damn thing? I can't defend that one.

It was funny but it was so wrong. Miz was downgraded at that point. At the same time it works for the delusional heel angle so in retrospect he's still good. Miz hasn't ever been on my radar. I'm sure the feeling is mutual among others.

Who's Triple H to make fun of the Miz, when The Chaperone went straight to DVD too? Isn't throwing stones in glass houses somehow Triple H's gimmick? He did that on many occasions, the most prominent probably being after Chris Masters' wellness violation.

Miz's character is sub moronic. All HHH said is the same things we all say about him. This role would have been better on someone who is actually in theatrical releases like Batista earlier this year. Really...just who in the hell watches any of Miz's "movies"?
They're not even in the bargain bins in Walmart for Christ sakes.

I didn't see what happened, but I hope they write Miz as if to be so vane that the comment goes right over his head and he takes it as a compliment because he's such a mega Hollywood star.

Personally I hate it when wrestlers act like children when around HHH and Stephanie. Constantly getting chastised, forced to stand on the stage like a kid's choir, and always backing down from them. No one seems to be spared. The sooner both of them are off-screen, the better. This Authority shit has gone on way too long, and it hurts any wrestler who has the misfortune to interact with them.

I can't imagine how many guys were back there clapping while wanting to puke at the idea of this turd as champion. Is it possible to puke with joy? Yes. They did so tonight.

Bizarre how WWE seems to want to sabotage the idea of its own movies and the wrestlers that appear in them having any credibility. Their idea of promoting Dead Man Down on Raw was to have Barrett cut some bragging 'movie star' promos only for Sheamus to show up and be all 'LOL, this movie looks terrible and you're barely in it anyway.' So counter-productive. At least with Christmas Bounty they had Miz inexplicably turn face the week it aired and put it over as something you should watch. Props to Miz for the Chaperone line though, presuming it wasn't fed to him.

LOL but Triple H never got caught, didn't WWE tell Steiner to take a steroid test and he replied "sure right after Triple H."

This is the problem with Triple H, whatever his alignment, wherever he is on the card, he is booked and protected as though he were the lead moneymaking face when it makes no sense. He's always the smartest, toughest and wittiest person in whatever feud he is in, he's often the smartest, toughest and wittiest person in other people's feuds and he seems incapable of seeing what a problem it is. His comments about the Miz, Chris Masters and others would be fine were they coming from someone they were feuding with, a face would get a decent pop for making comments about how bad the Miz's films are, but nobody benefits when those comments come from Triple H except Triple H.

It really wasn't that bad. We need to calm down. Really,if THAT buried the Miz and destroyed him...Miz does not have much going for him. In theory you're right but Billy Gunn never recovered from the Edge promo saying "Billy Gunn, 1996 called...".

HHH didn't bury the Miz. He gave him a zing and then Miz got to go out on commentary and run his mouth talking back about it.
It would have been bad if it was someone else, but Miz gets plenty of mic time to talk himself up, someone saying anything to him isn't going to matter. If nothing else, he'll look like an obnoxious prick when he talks back (good) and maybe you'll want to see him lose a match.
Let's face it, there are roughly -3 (That's negative 3 by the way) people that give a shit who has the title between Ziggler and Miz, Miz is the same guy that kept losing to low card daniel bryan before bryan was established, the guy that lost to kofi 3 times in a row, remember those? No you probably don't. He's still midcard Miz that's still booable and still wins matches sometimes.

I can't defend that one. Barrett's literal burial didn't happen until nearly a month after Miz became WWE Champion, although his technical burial happened long since before then with him and the Nexus constantly being put back by one man - the same man that, after making him their slave, still managed to make fools of them. If they had put the title on Barrett either at SummerSlam or sometime thereafter and hadn't made them look like complete goobers so shortly after their debut, they wouldn't have had to put the title on Miz because he was the only viable option. Then again, had they not completely shat the bed with Swagger after his MitB win or Punk with the Straight Edge Society, they would have had even MORE options. I say all of this as a Miz fan who had no problem at all him being WWE Champ. But there's no reason 2010 should't have been the year of the Nexus, not just "the year Nexus debuted and got their asses singlehandedly kicked by Cena."

I miss this Miz. Man, I don't. Really the only time Miz has been any good was in a tag team with Morrison. They never shoulda broken those guys up. They could still be a solid team. As it stands, one guy floundered along for awhile till asking for his release; and the other got a push that he in no way deserved to a world title run that was a total joke, and has finally hit equilibrium around where he belongs. I'm aware Morrison had the ECW title and such, but it's not like that was't meaningless too.
