I hope we get the Cage feud out of our system quickly. Jacked up American wrestlers are not what fans of lucha libre are expecting or looking for. I disagree. First, I like Cage, reminds me of a young Scott Steiner and works fine with the lucha-style wrestlers. Second, it might be called Lucha Underground but they're still looking for crossover appeal, and a guy like Cage provides that.

I like the fact that guys like Big Rick and Cage are in Luncha. It gives the whole David vs Goliath thing some airtime. Besides, it also shows off how frakkin deadly the Lucha's can be since the majority of American viewers are used to roided up monsters and when they see the smallerish guys fly around the ring beating guys like Cage it will give them an appreciation of what the Luchas can do.
Also, anyone else mark for Pimpinela Escarlata?

I just realized and unless I'm mistaken, this episode had the first six man tag match which is usually Lucha Libre's bread and butter.

I can't believe how much better Lucha Underground is than TNA. It's not even funny. It's like comparing a mid-level MLB team like the Milwaukee Brewers to a little league team from Podunk, USA.

Lucha Underground is different enough from actual lucha that lucha fans shouldn`t have too much trouble with Cage. It`s basically american pro wrestling with mexican talents and more flying. The actual match psychology is pretty american. The presentation is very hollywood. I LOVE LU. It`s my favorite thing in wrestling and the only american show I`m watching regularly right now, but it`s not that lucha-y. Any hardcore lucha folks who would be annoyed by Cage probably wouldn`t have stuck around by now.

The thing about Brian Cage that you need to remember is that he's not just a young jacked up Scott Steiner-esque guy. He's a young jacked up Scott Steiner-esque guy that can fly. A guy that muscle bound shouldn't be able to pull off a lionsault, and he really shouldn't still be using that at his size, but he does.

The 6 man tag was fun. It made me feel good about wrestling and wanted to show other people that match.
Puma vs Cage wasn't their best match (in terms of Ricochet and Cage interacting) but still very entertaining. They put the full match on youtube too.

I love the vignette with Cage pretty much being unfazed by glass bottles and pieces of wood hitting him. And the magic disappearing Asian chick. I hope they keep these out of the ordinary type of things going.
Speaking of Cage, he is one agile big man. Even more so than lesnar. And unlike lesnar, he doesn't look like he's inches away from breaking his neck when doing a high flying move.

Yeah, Angelico vs SoH looks really good. Angelico was one of the random guys from a few weeks ago that really stood out. Like a LU version of Justin Gabriel, haha!

Folks like Jon Anderson, Marco Corleone, and Gronda made names for themselves while being super jacked. Hell, CMLL holds a yearly bodybuilding contest for the luchadors.

Ya, plus it isn't like Cage is alone in the jacked power-guy category. They already had Mil Muertes, who might be a Mexican guy with a mask but he's still more Ryback than Rey.

In his other persona of Judas Mesias, he can fly around along with that.
