I'd be shocked if 250,000 was the highest payroll in MLB. I think ARod alone makes that much a day.. Nope, it's the Dodgers at roughly 235+ million. Look at what you originally wrote.

Chicago Cubs.
Actually, they can't choke if they never get that far.

The true answer to this thread is the Cleveland Browns. The entire franchise...the Cleveland Browns.

I think that Scott Norwood kind of gets a raw deal. It's not like a 47 yard field goal is a chip shot by any means.

Team Iceland at the 1994 Junior Goodwill Games choked horribly, but even Gunner Stahl should know you can't outwit Julie "The Cat" Gaffney.

The Brooklyn Dodgers. The lost the Worlds Series in 1941,1947, 1949. 1952, 1953 and finally winning in 1955 before losing again in 1956. They also lost big leads in 1942 and 1951.

Here's an old-school motorsports one: Bryan Herta. That guy was really good on road courses and could qualify with the best of them. There were a lot of races where he would look dominant and then collapse with about 10 or fewer laps to go. This was especially true when Alex Zanardi would be chasing him down. You just knew that if Herta was leading and Zanardi was right behind, Zanardi would storm down and make poor Bryan look like a bitch and steal the win away from him.
Anyways, as far as franchises go, the St. Louis Blues.

Reggie Miller's Indiana Pacers...They were notoriously bad in Game 7s or Elimination games and should have won atleast one championship

Well if you only pay an entire team of professional athletes a total of $250k than you are lucky they made the playoffs or even showed up to the ballpark at all. Having the highest payroll by far and going out via sweep in round 1..... that's a choke job. They weren't swept.

Three pages and no mention. The Minnesota Vikings.
4 Super Bowl Appearances - 0 Wins. 1999 NFC Championship Game. 2001 NFC Championship Game. 2003 Start the season 6-0, fail to make the playoffs 2010 NFC Championship Game.
They have a long history of being successful. Divisional titles, numerous playoff appearances. Just absolutely nothing to show for it. Countless heartbreaks over the years.
