It's hard to believe a guy who is part of the P.R. Machine and who supposedly knows the power of social media made his racism so obvious. How can he get work after this. Totally, the only way this couldn't backfire on him was if he were called John Smith or something. Due to his unusual (and ironically enough Southern European sounding) surname he stands out massively if you search for him on google. The first two pages of a google search of his name are all stories on the ADR incident with a few in Spanish. Pretty much all corporate employers do google, facebook, linkedin and twitter searches on anyone who applies these days. I feel, sound and am old but kids at school now should have to take some sort of course on how social media/the internet can really mess up your life if aren't smart. I would happily teach this class.

It's gonna be hard as hell for him to get a job with the nickname "racist Twitter guy". Oh well, that's what you get for being a racist Twitter guy. You'd be amazed. Gamergate probably needs a PR guy.

Fantastic. I don't like how Alberto was fired but I'm happy because he can rebuild his legacy. He's about to win the heavyweight championship in AAA, He's traveling all over the world wrestling the best wrestlers. He's bringing attention to other organizations that I've never heard of (FPW in the U.K.) by wrestling for them against their top talent.
AAA is getting a lot of attention as well. He's pretty much worshipped in Mexico as a Latin hero that stood up for himself and the Mexican people against racism. I'm gonna say Alberto will never come back to the wwe. This Cody guy is screwed who want to hire someone where as soon as you look their name up the first thing you see is racist.

I bet that the twins are now searching for him, and we're gonna see his head on top of a turtle lol....just kidding obviously, but looking at Mexican wrestling forums the guy is the most hated man there.

Well, they burned their bridges with a multi-time former champion with near-limitless potential (provided he's written well)...but at least they didn't need to look for a new Twitter guy for a few months. FTC Near limitless potential? Let's not exaggerate here.

AAA needs to bring him in as a heel manager against El Patron.

I'm not happy that he lost his job, I just hope he learned from his mistakes. I hope they offer Del Rio's his job back, violence isn't the answer, but releasing a victim of racial bullying does not look good for them, a suspension would have been fine. I hope not because as an adult in this day and age he should've known that to go to HR or something instead of beating him up like he was 14 years old. Both guys are tools who deserve to get canned.

I'd be amazed if he doesn't sue the WWE if it turns out that he was forced from his job. While he may have had it coming, the law is unlikely to see it that way and he can claim they had an unsafe work environment, as well as air all kinds of dirty laundry in public, I'm sure he's far from the only WWE employee to openly make racist comments about the talent.

But he wasn't fired following the incident. Del Rio was. They fired him immediately and publicly condemned Del Rio's actions. We have no reason to believe that WWE's firing of Barbierri was not based on other factors. WWE has been firing A LOT of employees this year. His firing could have been due to a number of factors related to them downsizing due to financial reasons. Theoretically he could still try to sue them for unsafe working environment, but probably not for wrongful termination. In the case of the unfair working environment, WWE's quick and public response of firing Del Rio and condemning his actions shows that they do not tolerate that behavior, which would help them if Barbierri did try to sue them for that.

They would have fired him sooner, but he was the only one who knew the passwords to the various WWE twitter accounts. Letting him go would have caused a shitstorm, you don't want an angry ex employee holding the password to all your social media.

Good to see WWE nuking their bridges with former World Champions again. After guys like Bret, Warrior, and Bruno all made peace, I was worried for a bit.
