Is there any AJ vs Paige match thats actually good? I thought the Summerslam match was really good. That's about it. I'd readily agree that the Bellas had a more fun match but theirs was the second of the night. It seemed like having only six minutes and being in the death spot, AJ and Paige were told to tone it down. House show reports claim these two have amazing chemistry. It's likely we'll never see that on WWE TV. |

Brie and Nikki have both become good wrestlers and they had really good chemistry (even though they're siblings that's not a given; see, the Hardys). I was so not interested in them returning but they've become good talents.
AJ and Paige wasn't bad but they just don't have chemistry. And I want the title far away from both of them.

I'll get hate for this, I just don't think AJ is that good. Paige just mainly beat her down, then AJ locks her finisher.
That's been the same match they've had a couple times. And doing it tilt-a-whirl style owhen Paige could barely stand made little sense.

I think some fans are feeling silly at proclaiming AJ -v- Paige being the Trish/Lita of this generation and it turns out they don't really work well together at all.

AJ looks a bit fed up these days to be honest. If only Paige and Emma could have stayed in NXT forever and AJ could have dropped down to have matches that are taken seriously.

AJ and Paige just really don't mesh well together imo. Judging by last night though this should be the end of the feud with Paige going after Alicia and AJ feuding with someone else (Naomi hopefully). Probably Nikki, not Naomi. AJ is a face. Hope everyone has fun with that. The reason I say Naomi is there was word of WWE trademarking a load of stuff for her like "Slayomi" etc plus the Bellas are said to be heading into survivor series leading teams of Total Divas but Naomi wasn't mentioned. Who knows? Maybe we'll find out tonight. |

The thing that I most hate in the aj/paige matches, is that the offensive doesnt look like it hurts at all.
For example, in that spot where paige was hitting aj against the barricades, the impact felt really soft, and when paige was hitting her elbows against aj in the corner, those looked weak and stupid.
In the other hand, nikki elbows always reminds me of the ones of misawa, in the sense that those looked deadly saving the proportions (and yes, I know that i compered nikki with f***ing misawa) brie knees look cool too.

Maybe Paige/A.J are just going through the motions as they can't really take their feud anywhere special because the higher ups won't let them. They both wanted a HIAC match but Vince pretty much vetoed it.
Maybe they just thought "f*** it".
Also Paige won't go anywhere seeing as Vince loves A.J so much and will probably shove Nikki up there as A.J's next feud, I think sadly Paige may go the way of Nattie.

Women should never get a Cell match and I don't care if that looks sexist, it would look ridiculous seeing these tiny women no larger than a 13 year old boy running into the Cell and not even moving it.

The Bellas match was definitely better. But it sucks that both feuds have been given zero effort by the writing team. Like the rest of the show, it has been in cruise control and it's the same match/event EVERY SINGLE WEEK! Did the creative staff go on vacation or something? There were so many ways these feuds could have been made more compelling if some effort was put into better writing but they just don't give a &%$#. These women are putting out quality work, but like always the writing team sandbags not only the divas but the entire product.

Agreed. Paige and AJ was just...meh. The Bellas though, seem to have mutually agreed to beat the everloving shite outta each other. And it was awesome. They were definitely miles above the other two. And to the dude saying the "higher ups" are to blame, come on dude, you're just making excuses. It's not like putting it in a Cell would've made it any better. As hard as it might be for the folks who expected them to be the next revolutionary pairing to accept, they just don't gel that well. Plus, they're both f***ing awful actors, and I say that as a fan of Paige. |
