Was thinking of this one after watching those Gene Snitsky pressure cooker commercials. I don't know what I would do without my crock pot, it is my all purpose kitchen implement. I've debated getting a deep fryer, but I cook fried foods so rarely it seems a waste. How about the rest of FAN?

12 inch cast iron pan/skillet. Once you season it, you can do everything in it from saute to bake. Hell, I almost committed the act of bloody murder when my roommate put my old cast iron pan in a dishwasher and rusted it out.
Second would be a good heavy chef knife.

The garlic crusher. Always the garlic crusher.
A close second is my Pizza slicer.

Now that I re-read the question, sorry just had my wisdom teeth removed so I am a bit loopy, some good appliances worth having is a quality stick blender, mandolin(not the lil guitar), and a oven thermometer.

The toaster. I could live on toast if necessary!

They give you the good stuff? Well for the time being I have to say yes, but I know that later tonight I will probably be in discomfort until the morning then it will go away, just like all other illnesses. But to get this back on topic, damn I wish I had a stand mixer.

mandolin slicers are nice... but yeah... use the hand guard unless you want to risk cutting off large slices of your finger

I've also become very attached to my new flexible spatula. Now I can flip burger patties without them falling apart.

Saying oven would be kind of cheating, I imagine.
I have a crockpot that is pretty cool, I really ought to use it more.

My girlfriend just bought a slow cooker and it's changing our lives. We eat at home a lot more. Saving money and losing weight

I've debated getting a deep fryer, but I cook fried foods so rarely it seems a waste. How about the rest of FAN? Get a Dutch oven instead then. I do all of my frying in a five quart cast iron Dutch oven. It's an all around better experience than a regular fryer. Easier to clean up as well.
