@darrenrovell
With a Warriors win tomorrow night, the NBA will be guaranteed its 9th different team champion in the last 30 years.

In the Eastern Conference, coaching used to matter. Now it's I HAVE LEBRON AND YOU DON'T.
I know Cleveland hasn't won a title since 1964, but this is honestly a rare time I hope the drought continues.
Between Dellevedova, JR Smith, Shumpert who basically quit on the Knicks, the utterly incompetent David Blatt, and the tiresome LeBron.... go GSW/HOU.

Hawks getting swept by Cleveland without Love and without Irving for half the series.
Nice of you to show up, Hawks.
If only Pierce got that shot off 0.1 seconds sooner. We might not be sitting through this crap.

As long as Lebron stays in the East I expect to see him in the finals every year

We might not be sitting through this crap. Like THEY would have fared better. Pierce's shot would have forced overtime. Blame them for not boxing out on Horford in game 5. Besides, do we REALLY think Randy Wittman would have fared any better?

I know I'm jumping the gun a little bit, but the one thing that's going to bother me if the Cavs win the NBA Title this year is the possibility of people saying that this one championship for the Cavs means more than the two NBA Titles LeBron won in Miami. Win two titles in a row in Cleveland, and then we can discuss it.

As someone with Wizards season tickets I saw them play with heart and guts all season. Would they have defeated LeBron and the Cavs? I obviously can't say for sure, and honestly probably not, but I can definitely say that they wouldn't have quit like a bunch of punk bitches like the Hawks did.

Key players got hurt & they went cold from deep. It happens

The Narrative of the Heat victories were always about specifically Lebron winning.

I want the Warriors to win the title. But the thought of JR Smith in the White House also intrigues me.

Man, the Pacers were so much more competitive in the Finals last year than the Hawks were, and Miami had three guys to worry about that season.
Basically, if you don't have LeBron James on your team, you ain't doing anything in the Eastern Conference playoffs.

I keep hearing people spout the whole Lebron: GOAT, and it got me thinking.
How do you think Lebron would've fared against the Bad Boys of Detroit in the late 80's, early 90's?

Hmmm, it's a great and valid question. I don't think he would've fared well at all given the physicality of that era. To be fair though a lot of players in this era wouldn't have succeeded either. I think players like Duncan, Dirk, Garnett(in his prime), and Shaq(in his prime) would've been the only ones who would have been successful in that period.
