Rumors are swirling on Twitter that Marlins Park in Miami will host the 2017 MLB All-Star Game. And like the Billy Joel song, MLB will care for Miami 2017 in name alone, yet still be about nothing but New York. If this means the Home Run Derby could possibly destroy that thing in the outfield, I'm all for it.

Didn't know where to put it, but Jackie Robinson West has been stripped of the 2014 Little League World Series United States Champion status. Saw some people was trying to play the race card

Even if he does become eligible, I have a feeling the BBWAA would still not vote him in.

Yeah, Rose won't get voted in to the HOF if eligible. If PED's are a reason to hold guys out, then gambling is going to be harder to justify.

Well, gambling is much worse as far as the sport goes. Then again, old assholes will still argue more for him even though he wasn't even as good as Jeff Bagwell was, for instance.

If I'm Manfred, I'd worry far more about Peter Angelos to be fair to the Washington Nationals with TV rights, and allowing the Oakland Athletics to build Cisco Field... or at least loaning them decent money to make the O.co Coliseum less crappy, instead of Pete Rose.
Even if Rose's ban is lifted (along with Shoeless Joe Jackson), the electoral board for the Baseball Hall of Fame is full of old traditionalists who want things done a certain way.

Yeah, I think you can put just OF in that. Unless it's a spot start with Cano at DH, Weeks will kind-of platoon with Dustin Ackley in left field. I say "kind-of" because I see Ackley eventually playing all games there unless he's injured.

Oh hey, the Yankees are no longer in the bottom 5 for farm systems. Progress! You can thank Aaron Judge specifically for that. Dude is about 100 feet tall and 900 pounds of muscle.

Yankees are also retiring Bernie Williams & Jorge Posada's numbers.
Man, as far as being beloved by the fans, Bernie Williams was underrated.

and Willie Randolph will get a plaque in monument park. But his number 30 will remain available. Since he left the Yankees as a free agent after the 1988 season it has been used been used by five players including recently departed closer David Robertson, of course for a large part of that Willie wore it himself as a coach. He joins Lefty Gomez, Goose Gossage, Tino Martinez, Allie Reynolds and Red Ruffing as players with plaques but no retired number.

Can't wait to see those triple digits jerseys.
This is a team that realizes it's not good now and is bringing the past back.
