To go with the excellent obscure TNA wrestlers thread, how about one for name wrestlers that turned up briefly and disappeared again with very little explanation. There's far more than there should be. To kick us off, the man rarely known as Nelson Knight. Turned up as The Truth's bodyguard, was gone within a fortnight.

Lex Luger. Just months after Miss. Elizabeth had died in his home and he was subsequently charged with god knows how many drugs charges Luger turned up in TNA for one night only in 2003. He threw a few weak punches, got rolled up by AJ Styles and that was that.

Lex looks like A: a prototype of something Jim Henson's Creature Workshop were working on. B: Jeff Jarrett promised him candy after the match

The one I thought would be the first to be brought up. Randy Savage looking like some kind of goth Cowboy turned up at the 2004 Turning Point PPV. The story goes that he pulled out of the match minutes before they went to air saying 'I don't want people to see me looking like this!' in regards to his shrunken physique. He ended up appearing for the final few minutes and won the match without removing his entrance attire. He walked out of the next Impact and never appeared again.

Delirious. He had a little jobber run in 2005 when they first went on Spike TV. Now of course, it seems as if Delirious has been booking TNA the past few years. And I'm not talking about Hunter Johnson. I'm trying to find images, but Daizee Haze and Cheerleader Melissa had a match on Impact. So that would have been her only appearance in TNA, Daizee's. Here is the match: www.dailymotion.com/video/x5ajwm_05-01-08-daizee-haze-vs-cheerleader_sportUpon looking for it, I also found an article while looking for it. Turns out that despite Haze vs Melissa being a cold singles match, with both people not being on the roster (at least Melissa as herself instead of as Raisha Saeed), they outdrew the main event tag match of Angle & Joe vs Steiner and Petey Williams. That's when the KO division was red hot. I also think that Impact show had the infamous Scott Steiner math promo as well. Like, think about that. They didn't have to build to a debut for the Knockouts, they could just throw out a random Knockouts match and people would tune in, I also don't think this match was at the 5th quarter either, which was where the Knockouts were usually placed. Dutch Mantell said that was his idea, putting the women at the top of the hour, and one criticism of the Knockouts was their high ratings were only due to that top of the hour bump. I think that certainly helped, but they knew they had something with the Knockouts Division to want to put it there in the first place, and the fact that a cold Knockouts match drew so well, even in comparison to the rest of the show, really shows how good they were. It wasn't even the highest rated part of the show either. Just imagine what it could have been if this was a hot match between the two after a long feud.

Didn't Paul London work a show or two pre WWE run? Yes, he wrestled Sabin in a singles match once.

Jasmine St.Claire showing up randomly to do a striptease one week before being stopped by Behrens and then getting attacked and wrestling Francine for even less of a reason the next week.

Mister Anderson had a match before he became Mister Kennedy. The ROH Briscoes had a match and did Mexico Most wanted from the XPW frame.

Scorpio Sky/Mason Andrews. Was in a X-Division tournament, disappeared for 6 months, returned for one match, disappeared again for a couple of months, had one more match, and then was Harold in WWE.
