Halloween with Mike Myers doesn't need sequels. They should have been like part 3 and do something new everytime.

He and Paul WS Anderson are competing to see how many times they can shoehorn their wives into shit movies.

I always laugh at Halloween 2 because it really felt like the whole thing was a reaction to the bad response from fans to the first one, so Rob literally said "F*** them, I'm going to go even MORE over the top and stupid!"
The only redeeming qualities of it are Chris Hardwick and Weird Al in that bizarre talk show segment with Loomis.

How anyone can call Zombies flicks terrible in a series that includes resurrection is just baffling to me.

How anyone can call Zombies flicks terrible in a series that includes resurrection is just baffling to me. I've never seen Resurrection, so it's entirely possible that it's a worse movie than Zombie's Halloween 2...but even if it is worse, that doesn't make Zombie's effort any less abysmal. That just means someone somehow made an even worse movie.

I actually really liked Zombie's first Halloween. The second one suffered from having to have Sherri Moon Zombie in dream sequence type scenarios which forced the plot to suffer. Minus the white horse/mom stuff, it's not that bad. And it certainly isn't the worst Halloween movie or even the worst Rob Zombie movie (that would be Lords Of Salem imo). I also give the movie props for including my favorite song ever "Am I Evil".
In general, I really like Rob Zombie though, I dig most of his music (even though his most recent album sucked) and most of his movies are good in that late night horror movie you watch drunk or high at 2 am kinda way.

I wasn't nuts about Zombie's first Halloween, but I actually thought the ending was really tense and well-done. If only the rest of the film could've lived up to it. Haven't seen the second one, but from what people have said I'm in no rush to do so.

I've warmed up to this immensely since first watching it in August. It's a mess, but it's a fascinating mess.

Original Myers was fascinating because you DIDN'T know anything about him, why he was so evil. So of course, the movies spend inordinate amount of time on some redneck back story starring his no-talent wife.
And, if he took off the mask, he could have been anybody. So, Zombie makes him like 6'10" and would stick out anywhere. And in the 2nd movie, he barely even wore the mask. He was just some giant homeless guy.
Not to mention all the pointless cursing, gore, and dumb cameos from 70s has-beens.
At least there were no druid cults involved.

And in the 2nd movie, he barely even wore the mask. He was just some giant homeless guy. Not if you go with the creative interpretation I saw on Blu-ray.com Forum that all the murders in H2 were either imaginary/dreams or committed by Laurie The theory essentially goes it's Laurie or it didn't really happen, and therefore it's airtight, also the guy says that Laurie's friends/coworkers (who give us poetic dialogue like "what up dickalikahhhhs") are imaginary and kinda like the cartoon devil/angel on the shoulder deal. The degree to which that guy stood firm on throwing out any obvious/blatant contradiction was admirable to say the least.
