For Great Khali's match, I would have preferred his 2006 Judgement Day match with the Undertaker, just to show fans that the big guy who likes to dance and have a good time was originally packaged as a feared entity.
I'm thinking about getting this for the lulz.

Hopefully they include some of Ladd's promos in his bio part; "I would slap you in the presence of your parents!" Absolutely! A lot of people will say that Billy Graham was the guy when it came time for heel promos, but Ladd wasn't far off. He had some very good heel promos that made you want to see him get his ass kicked.

People with their bigoted view on anything but 'pretty' wrestling annoy me. Maybe this is why the business is in the state it's in because everyone needs to be a perfect 'Simon Cowell' mould and auto-tuned in the ring to buggery to the point of blandness.
Big guys have always been a staple of the industry, highly entertaining and always brought something unique to the table.
"OMG a DVD about people who aren't between 5ft10 - 6ft4 around the 245lb mark who wrestle the exact same style of matches that everyone else wrestles. Who wants to see that?!!!"
Big guys have meant far more to the business and drawn far more than anyone with the surname Ryder, Jericho, Orton, Bryan or Ambrose - so cut them some slack
....delete Ambrose from above because he probably is awesome.

Big guys have meant far more to the business and drawn far more than anyone with the surname Ryder, Jericho, Orton, Bryan or Ambrose - so cut them some slack ....delete Ambrose from above because he probably is awesome. People who do feel that way don't annoy me. But, I'm really tired of what you're referring to, a bunch of highly athletic guys doing a lot of cool spots and putting on dramatic forced-false-finish laden matches. For example, I enjoy watching Dolph Ziggler, but I'm really over him hitting the Fameasser to get a 2 count 3 minutes before the end of every match he has. And he's the most enjoyable one becuase he's got great babyface, underdog charisma. But this formula match everyone does now, I don't know where it came from but all it really does is devalue the cool spots by using them in such a predictable fashion. When all the Nitros went up on the Network recently, I watched the crap out of them, as many of us did. What really struck me was how much looser the matches were in terms of structure. Sometimes they didn't make as much sense, but it let the wrestlers' styles and personalities come through so much more. I think the matches now are too obsessed with making the crowd pop at certain moments, the whole Pavlovian response thing. It's obviously something to focus on, but there it's like there has to be a high spot or a yelled catchphrase every minute. It makes every match, and every wrestlers' style, feel way too much alike. It's all the same sort of flow. But, that's what WWE seems to want, this very uniform way of doing things. It's all too neat and cute to me.

Nothing shirt of disgraceful that Taker vs Kane is not in there. Probably the best big man match of all time.

This looks like the worst DVD the WWE have ever released. I might buy it as a joke present for a friend.

Thought: I'd include the Earthquake/Yokozuna sumo match, Undertaker/Giant Gonzalez, Giant/Hogan monster truck match, and One Man Gang becomes Akeem as extras, just for the novelty.
I'd include Vader breaking Mick Foley's back, Bam Bam Bigow and Taz going through the ramp way, and Big Show and Lesnar and Lesnar collapsing the ring as memorable moments.

In 2007 The Great Khali was legitimately my favorite wrestler. Mine too. There wasn't a whole lot to like around 2007, so I got a kick out of the IWC's most hated wrestler winning the world title. I like a good technical match as much as the next Internet wrestling fan, but every so often I like to watch the big hosses too. I think it's from being a comic book geek and being a fan of characters like the Hulk, Juggernaut, and the Blob. I might get this set, once it goes on sale anyway.

Oh gods, I knew that Monster Mash Battle Royal was gonna be there as soon as I realized what this set was. Is it wrong that I really like this set & these matches becoming a reality? It's not the "same ol' same ol'" and thus I almost like it totally on that fact alone. ....we inch closer and closer to a "Nothing But Battle Royals" set with every passing home video release...
