Anybody else absolutely enthralled by this? serialpodcast.org/There's only seven episodes, thus far, but a quick synopsis (giving away as little as I can): In 1999, Adnan Syed, a teen from Baltimore, was convicted of the murder of his ex-girlfriend, Hae Min Lee. Last month, Sarah Koenig of NPR, acting on a tip from a family friend of Syed's, began looking into the background of the case and whether or not Syed was wrongly convicted. Give it a listen. This is fascinating stuff.

I was legit about to make a thread about this. I just finished the first episode, very compelling. I Highly recommend it.

Just heard about this the other day, and so far, I've listened to six of the available nine episodes. Looking around, it seems this is becoming a bit of a phenomenon and rightly so. It's all very interesting and a very different approach to podcasting:

It's very good. So good that I've resisted doing my normal "I must research the hell out of this" thing after listening to it, just to see what happens next. Because as of know I'm leaning one way pretty heavily (though not totally) in terms of his guilt/innocence.

I remember they had the first episode on This American Life a couple of months ago. I probably should subscribe but I'm pretty busy listening to "You Talkin' U2 To Me?" with Adam Scott Aukerman

After reading the first episode synopsis, I realized I listened to it on NPR back in the day. Didn't know it was a thing.
Seemed cool, but surprised people can stand the This American Life storytelling style. If nothing else, the narrators combine the enthusiasm of Joe Buck with the vocal stylings of someone with an allergy to dirt.

I was a little disappointed in the last few episodes, certainly the season finale.
The season finale could basically be summed up with ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

i dont want to listen to it because i enjoy every other podcast hating on it too much, i dont want to be swayed into thinking its good because it would ruin the fun
same as i enjoy everyone hating Marc Maron
