Saw Tommy Oliver's analysis on Fluttershy just now.

The 2 biggest weaknesses of his argument are these IMHO:

-Thinks Fluttershy has a Social Anxiety Disorder that makes her uncomfortable being around people in events such as "Best Friend's Wedding" or sth...despite the series showing her repeatedly in situations where she is in a large group of people without being uncomfortable. Its just that she doesn't want to be in the spotlight most of the time, not because she is afraid of being around people.

-The 2 scenes he presents to show Fluttershy has a disorder are from "Hurricane Fluttershy" and "Filli Vanilli"...one scene which originated from a terrible experience in her childhood and one because she has stage fright. You can have those without Social Anxiety Disorder.

Yeah, his argument doesn't hold a lot of water for me.
