It should be a plot point that the NXT title corrupts people. It led to Rollins and Big E debuting as heels on the main roster, ironc good-guy Bo Dallas cheated to retain, Adrian Neville has deceived his close friend to keep the title, and now Sami is looking like he could turn too. WWE pulled this off well in 96-97 Bret/HBK/Sid/Austin/Taker all being morally ambiguous in wanting/holding the belt. It's the One Ring?

This logo looks slightly familiar: Also HHH gets banished from the main roster so starts a Nexus/Evolution hybrid stable on NXT? Zayn sells out to get his hand on the gold with some help from fellow stablemate Owens? Anyway loving the Zayn and Neville angle, I'm guessing it'll all come down to one or both of them having to make a moral decision at the special and how they react to it. If it has a solid conclusion it will have been the best storyline in years. It's simple but stories, relationships and characters that logically develop a little more each week until they build to a high-stakes crescendo that could end in a few different ways is what wrestling should be. Surprised to hear Neville's subtle heel work isn't winning people over. In that promo he was condescending, disingenuous, arrogant and had the cheek to talk about how much he valued their friendship after his recent actions (and words) while managing not to stray into full territory. He conveyed all that with relatively few words when compared to a 20 minute Raw promo. Loved Kidd heeling it up with the Hart stuff too.

I want Sami to snap and beat the s*** out of Neville......or for Neville to turn heel so Sami has an excuse to beat the s*** out of him......or for Owens to show up and beat the s*** out of Neville will Sami is out of it allowing him to win the title and stay a face and then start a new fued with Owens
Basically I want Neville to get the s*** kicked out of him ha. Really enjoying the storyline and really interested to see where it goes
I know this has bedn said a million times but Riley is a pox on my ears. He is trying to hard to be a Heenan or Ventura and comes no where near it and it's quite sad really to listen to because never in a million years will he get close to it

I don't see Sami turning heel out of this. If you kinda listen to what he says to Sami and how he says it, Neville already is the heel in this thing and the crowd has picked up on it.
Admittedly, Sami turning heel to win would make sense but I agree that it's not something the crowd wants to see. Hell, I don't even want to see that.
The problem is too, if you turn Sami now, they're out their only honest-to-goodness babyface at the top of the NXT card. Who takes his place? If Sami turns heel it's going to be a few months into his title run with a groomed replacement before that happens.
My money is on Sami pulling out the win, but Owens beating the shit out of him 15 seconds into his celebration. Why? Because Sami Zayn isn't anything if he isn't incredibly unlucky. Or you can do one better and cement the fact Neville isn't technically a heel by having Owens put him out of NXT for his send up.
Which could garner some sympathy for Neville and at least a good intro feud for Steen, sure Neville was walking that fine line but does he deserve to have Steen (maybe under the mistaken belief he's doing it on Sami's behalf) stalk and beat the living shit out of him for it?

back-to-back great episode!
only low points (if any) were the generic squashes courtesy of Bull & Baron, but they have to be built up I guess
the idea with Zayn winning at Takeover3 and Owens IMMEDIATELY brutally attacking him (see: Wolfe attacking Angle in TNA in his debut) is tremendous and different and very fresh

Last week Finn Balor was the future.
This week Kevin Owens was the future.
Hmm.
Also I didn't see them doing tributes to Austin/Rock & Micahels/Flair in this Zayn/Neville promo. Zayn was surprisingly whiny. I would have figured Neville would be playing the heel more in this angle.

Sami's mic skills are perfect for his character.
I was riveted once Neville joined the segment. The storyline is very subtle and honest and it didn't need twenty minutes to droll on. NXT gets it right.

Sami is gonna loose. Owens debut will be helping him pack his bags in the locker room.

I guess Zayn turning heel would make sense in that frustration gets the best of him and he snaps but it also means he snapped due to not being good enough. It would need Ryback to cut a promo to make him a face again after that as he is basically admitting he is B+ and inferior.
Zayn needs to be a face for life like Kofi or Steamboat.
