What can't you really see as all that different?
I would have to say Mexican foods. It's incredibly delicious, but empanadas, enchiladas, fajitas, taco, what's the difference.
Various pasta too, good, but predictable.

They are only predictable if you go to Taco Bell. I used to think the same thing until I spent a couple weeks in the Yucatan building houses.
A good example of this in the United States would be... let's say a pizza. You know of dozens of types of pizza, do they all taste the same? Can you tell the different between a sausage pizza and a pepperoni pizza? If you had never had pizza before, you'd say all pizza was the same.
There's lot of subtle differences. An ingredient here, an extra spice there, sometimes it's as simple as how it's cooked/assembled. Nobody in America would confuse a meatloaf sandwich with a hamburger even though they are 90% the same thing.
Apparently I can't tell the difference between "good and bad" wrestling. I loved the Survivor Divas match. I honestly thought it was entertaining and good. I posted that on a couple different sites and got shouted down that it was a horrible match. I was entertained at all times by Snitsky and CM Punk bored me to tears more often than not. Hornswoggle showing up for 90 seconds and doing something random gets me to giggle. Bray Wyatt talking for more than 30 seconds makes me want to change the channel.
I'm that guy I guess.

While Mexican food contains the same spices, cooking styles, and ingredients. There are enough subtle differences to tell apart in any place outside of Taco Bell.
Pop music. For the most part, any pop song seems like it could be sung by any pop singer and not lose anything.
Also, don't hear much of a difference between Pop and R&B outside of one being sung by people of African descent.

People can yell at me all they want, it won't change my opinion that Death Metal, Trash Metal and Black metal are the same goddamn thing. Yeah there might be a few very small, very insignificant differences but seriously, they aren't different enough to justify calling them different genres and it always baffles me how pedantic some people can get about it. They're really more band-specific variations on the same genre.

Honestly, anime and cartoons. Animation from any other country outside of Japan gets called cartoons even if the show intentionally emulates it's style (Avatar).

But thrash metal sounds different enough to not confuse with the previous two. Really, listen to Anthrax and Bloodbath, and you will obviously notice they are not the same genre.

Early on in their respective beginnings, one could argue that Black and Death were very similar. Hell, you could also argue that they were both just really raw, dirty sounding Thrash. But as time went on, there was an obvious shift in both genres to where they all sounded nothing alike.
