You know how people always make the "Cena's little buddy" crack whenever a secondary top face is aligned with him for any period of time? I feel like that's ACTUALLY happening with Charlotte and Bayley.

I don't get the Charlotte/Bayley relationship, to be honest. Charlotte's original turn was ON Bayley to join Sasha and the BFFs, then Bayley performs well in a couple of title matches, suddenly she's friends with Charlotte again, and runs to her as a guide. The same woman WHO TURNED ON HER. Half expecting this to indeed be the Flair/Sting relationship, but in a much shorter period.

I remember someone making a joke about her being the female Sting after Becky turned on her, but Jesus Christ, she actually is at this point. If this ends with Charlotte turning on her again, we're gonna have the debut of Crow Bayley in a few months.

Simon Gotch vs A Bear!
Even if it was probably produced by the normal WWE guys I like to imagine that Vaudevillains vignette was created as a class project by Full Sail students, the thought of them sitting in a classroom brainstorming ideas is amusing.
The all around production is great actually, those short backstage promos like Kidd and Nattie had would benefit so many on the main roster. Plus despite not usually being a fan of over-produced camera work I loved that shot of Finn's big kick capturing Nattie's reaction.

WWE has really weird ideas about how to get over newly-minted faces in their first matches, don't they? Over and over again, it's just the heel dominating with standard offense and holds. Ugh. I wish Balor and Kidd were allowed to cut loose there.
Still a fine episode. I loved the English/Gotch sketch and the Owens promo has me wondering.

Oh my God, that Marcus Louis segment...one of the worst things I've seen in a long time. Maybe the worst segment in the history of NXT. Breeze was a jerk but got no heat, Louis was seemingly supposed to be sympathetic but he's unrelatable because he's freaking out way too much over the situation. Total waste that did nothing for either guy, and I especially never want to see Louis again.
Carmella comes off like a parody of when your best friend starts hanging out with a girl that you can't stand. The whole cocky schtick is not endearing if you have no charisma to back it up.
Finn's line about Tyson making a DVD of the match and sending it to Bret in the mail...it was like even the camera man was huh? as the shot stayed on Finn for an awkward amount of time.
Lucha Dragons match looked super ugly until Kalisto got in there on the hot tag. Team Thick needs some work, there does seem to be potential though.
F***ING PSYCHED for Kevin Owens. What an excellent vignette that was. I can see him being amazing as a face or a heel based on that.
I don't know if it's intentional, but Becky just copies whatever Sasha does, and it makes her look completely lost in her role. The segment seemed like it needed more to happen. I don't like how the women are being treated like middle schoolers (besides Mama Charlotte) in this angle.
Have they ever shown Tyson face-timing with the cats? I think that needs to happen.
Vaudevillains = faces. Nothing heelish about being that entertaining. They mocked their opponents but not to the point where it's going to get them any heat.
Dat Finn Balor instrumental thene. He's got a great entrance, and it gives him an aura that he normally wouldn't have based on his somewhat plain (but still impressive) look. I really liked the beginning of their match but there were a few hiccups. After the break it got basic, which is probably the best way to go for Balor's first singles match. When it picked up, it got really good. Tyson Kidd is as good as any of these indy standouts they bring in, if not better.
Really dug the brawl to end the show, that's what needed to happen. They could've gone with the Ascension hitting their moves and standing tall, but the brawl sold the intensity so much more.

Nice Owens promo vid. Kind of got heelish vibes, but showing his kids seems like kind of a face-ish thing. Who knows! It would be cool if in next week's video, they debut the Package Piledriver. Of course, we have no idea if WWE will even let him use it (most likely not) but could you imagine a slow-mo shot of him raising someone up for it, and just before impact, the video cuts, and then fast forward to the next week (R-Evolution) and the first time we see it... is on Zayn after he is celebrating his NXT title win? Goosebumps! I say they're showing that he has a family and kids so he can use them to justify the possibly wretched shit he might end up doing. Your mileage may vary on how believable that justification might be...he did say he loved the fight after all. Sure, if he smears Zayn all over the canvas people are going to vilify him but what about if he does it because with a family and kids he feels he has to escalate shit to get more eyes on him and make more money? But then that's just me. Kevin Owens: Possibly Tragic Villainous Beserker has a bit more legs to me...and it would make him stand out from Baron Corbin (Dallas) and Bull Dempsey.

For a guy like Tyson Kidd though, if he doesn't domiante and slow the match down, he's going to be as over the babyface because he's just as athletic and exciting. I think they could've given Finn a few enhancement mathces before him having that competitive match with Kidd.

Still waiting and hoping for Itami to get more comfortable and gel into his role. Still looks like he lacks confidence. He offense is very weak looking as well considering how hard hitting he once was.

It's funny, I liked Carmella in the backstage vignettes, but since her debut she just comes off as a jerk.

I'm guessing WWE officials must have told Itami to lighten up on the strikes.

Carmella is no fun.

I feel Carmella would fit in better with Sasha Banks. Then again, Carmella seems to be coming off as just another catty queen bitch diva. How many of that archetype do they really need?

The Vaudevillains thing was funny but felt too long for me. I felt like the joke was made about 90 seconds before it ended. I appreciate gimmick orientated stuff though, we need more work on the gimmicks and not just a generic story that a vaudevillain and a luchadore play the same role in different weeks. I was not a huge fan of it but no one other than The Vaudevillains could have done that video thus it is unique and thus entertaining and helpful to the story and the performers.
