What does it say about me and/or WWE that I clicked this thread thinking "They're actually f***ing doing it?" before I read that it was merely a hypothetical?

Why? It's not like Eric Bischoff ever let them inside. They just stood around knocking on a garage door. How does that justify spending an hour talking about it?

If that were to happen, would they at least mention the other DX vs. WCW skits they did?
It's like they have no BS narrative to spin about the time they "invaded" the Turner offices in Atlanta, or the one time they parodied Top Gun and blew up Nitro in a fighter jet.

They just keep on bringing out new talking heads to discuss.

They should really make a Monday Night War video game where DX actually gets inside, and then they let you shoot the tank off in the arena with the objective of killing as many WCW stars as possible. Some stars can surrender, and they become members of DX and aid in the slaying. At the end, Vince McMahon has the survivors join the Kiss My Ass club.

If I could change one thing about how the Monday Night War panned out, 12-year-old me would have given all his hard-earned allowance to have Bischoff call their bluff and let them in.

How will they be able to cut it down into one hour?

Let me tell you something Mean Gene, you could hear... no, you could FEEL the rumble of the tanks BROTHER as the DX Army attempted to breech the doors to the arena that night. I looked at Eric and said, "I told you it would come to this if you took the title from me brother!" WCW died that day and history will remember it was because Hollywood Hogan wasn't given a proper push brother. I could have lifted WCW past the assault by DX and into a new golden age as the millions of hulkamanics around the world would have bought tickets to see me and the Stinger in the Silverdome brother in front of 95,000 fans and that's the fact jack. And that's how I became the lead bass player for Metallica.

You'll hear three things
"DX invaded Nitro" - They didn't
"DX had a tank" - They didn't
"It was the moment that changed the course of the Monday Night Wars" - It wasn't.

For as much flack as we give the hyperbole thrown on it, I do remember thinking it was a really, really cool and unique moment at the time.

For as much flack as we give the hyperbole thrown on it, I do remember thinking it was a really, really cool and unique moment at the time. Agreed. I enjoyed it very much so as well at the time. But the way WWE deliberately revises history to accommodate individuals still with the WWE, they make it seem like it was this important moment in the turnaround of the ratings battle. The turnaround was, and should always be remembered, driven by Austin vs. McMahon's feud.

Hang on. DX invaded Nitro on a tank? When was this? They've kept this quiet.

Does it not surprise anybody that WWE can grab anything from a National Guard armory (a wrestler, a glorified jeep) rebrand it under a different name (Dean Ambrose, a tank) and make it bigger and better than ever?
