Yes, because that's exactly what we need right now, at this time: a cop who committed a hate crime. Never mind the idea of him trying to use wealth and privilege to get away with blinding a man, while you have poor kids rotting in prison for a little bit of recreation weed.
F*** Mark Wahlberg.

Never mind the idea of him trying to use wealth and privilege to get away with blinding a man, while you have poor kids rotting in prison for a little bit of recreation weed. F*** Mark Wahlberg. Given he already got out of prison for it forever ago, and the one he hit already said he's fine with it, and that he wasn't even actually blinded by him(the eye he supposedly blinded with a punch was gone for years, he was a Vietnamese veteran who had a blind eye, anyway) who had no idea it was even Mark Wahlberg who had hit him, it's not even remotely as bad as it sounds. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2868589/Mark-Wahlberg-s-blinding-race-attack-victim-Johnny-Trinh-backs-bid-pardon-saying-course-forgive-didn-t-blind-Communist-Vietnamese-did-that.htmlIt's still shitty, sure, but given this information, what he's asking for isn't that outlandish, especially considering it casts serious doubts on how fair his trial was to begin with when they got such basic information completely wrong. It'd be like if I beat up Zach Gowen and they prosecuting attorney said "He hit the man so hard, his leg disappeared". It'd be a horseshit case, like it probably was here. EDIT: wanted to clarify that I am not like, trying to pick on you, I mostly just replied to you since it was the newest comment, and that this link is somewhat appropriate in that, from the sounds of things, the "attempted murder" charge he got was trumped up to begin with, since it was based on them judging the severity of the attack based on incorrect information.
