FSU redshirt sophomore QB Jameis Winston "is most like Pittsburgh Steelers' star Ben Roethlisberger," wrote CBS Sports' Rob Rang. Hmm Are we sure he's talking about on the field?

TCU will have a good chance next year. Should be ranked in the top 5 to start the year Andrew, best thing for m would be to get stranded at #11 and have Baylor, Texas, Oklahoma and Notr dame in front of them along with the full set of SEC regulars plus Ohio st and Oregon. That'll piss em off and they'll kill anything on front of them. Start them at five and you risk entitlement

An NFL "insider" referred to FSU redshirt sophomore QB Jameis Winston as "this year’s version of Johnny Manziel." The insider was not comparing skill set rather told me general managers around the league who hope Winston is gone before their team is called to the clock," TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline reported. "Like Manziel this past April, they don’t want to be faced with the option of using a first round pick on the quarterback. Winston's a far bigger train wreck than Manziel ever was.

Va. Tech AD backs Beamer after 7-6 season The boom is the off the rose They owe him a lot and I don't think they have the heart to fire him, probably hoping he retires soon. I feel for Bud Foster. Folks always thought he'd be HC when Beamer retires but things have cooled-off to the point I think they'll head in a different direction.

Kind of weird seeing a National Title game advertised in which it's #2 Oregon vs #4 Ohio State where for years under the BCS it was always #1 Team X vs #2 Team Y. I mean sure, #2 Oregon is in the game because they defeated the (previously) undefeated defending national champions and Ohio State advanced after defeating the #1 ranked team. But still, #2 vs #4 for the National Title doesn't read the same from a marketing stand point. I still like this system better than the BCS (if anything I hope they eventually do an eight team playoff), I just think from an advertising stand point they should de-emphasize the rankings when the final isn't #1 vs #2 just because it seems kind of anti-climatic.

I think they should all it. Look it was a playoff and those two teams won into the title game. Sell it that way or drop the rankings when you advertise for it BC they really don't matter anymore Edit: I don't want eight teams. If you add anyone add two and give byes to #1&2. Tell me what #8 did that is so great he deserves a shot? #4, 5, 6 ok? But an #8 th ranked team not only didn't win his conference but in some case weren't even in the title game. BCS style qualifying rules for conference champion to earn spot otherwise it goes at large. Example B1G champ in, PAC champ in, SEC champ in, undefeated ACC champ FSU in, then at large goes between Baylor or TCU(using this yrs finish)

The funny thing is, had the BCS still been in place neither Oregon nor Ohio State would be in the title game. They would've played each other in the Rose Bowl with the title game being Florida State vs. Alabama.
