Did they just pick up a flag that they already announced a penalty?

Look at that! A referee who has a pair of cajones and is willing to let the football players play football!
Surely whoever it is that picked up that flag will get a stern talking-to tomorrow morning.

I guess it took that long for the call from Goodell telling the refs to start throwing the game for Dallas to come in. Why in the hell did they pick up that flag?

That's a textbook defensive PI call, too. Pulled on his jersey and never even tried to play for the ball.

I don't think I've ever seen them pick up a flag and say there was no foul after stating that there was.

As a Dallas fan, all I gotta say is this:
I can't believe they picked that up. Hell, I thought it was PI.
What's the explanation to this madness? Did someone pay off the refs? Because all I gave them was a 20.

I will confess to being baffled. That picked up flag could very well cost Detroit the game, and that doesn't sit well with me.

Dez Bryant had no business running onto the field of play getting in the refs face after that flag as well. At least I think it was him

@realskipbayless I am SHOCKED that flag was picked up. I must admit, that was pass interference on Hitchens.

Usually I give Troy Aikman credit for being as objective as possible, but man is he reverting to Dallas Homer big time for this game.

Seriously, the accusations over the years that the refs give the Cowboys (and the Patriots and Manning) calls that they do not deserve is only reinforced by picking up the flag on an obvious penalty.

He should, considering it was blatant PI. See, I'm of the mindset that (especially in the playoffs) only an outright mugging should draw a flag for pass interference. Like, the defensive back should be tugging on the receivers' pads and have a handful of jersey while shoving him to the ground. And even then I'd think, "ehh, that was close."

*throws a flag for pass interference*
Jerry calls the Ref and reminds them that he knows how to make people disappear.
*picks up the flag*

I'm of the mind that you stay consistent from the season. If you call it in the season, you damned well better call it in the postseason.

And from week one of the postseason I've railed against these weak-ass garbage pass interference calls. Nobody aside from the quarterbacks themselves and the most ardent fantasy football fans, felt the league needed to crack down on defensive holding and pass interference.

I must admit one thing about Caldwell. Had Schwartz still been the coach the Lions would have come unglued after that flag got picked up and started getting personal fouls.
Why don't they pick that flag up?
