f*** it, I honestly don't care how it happened, the Cowboys have moved on. Do you know how god damn rare that has been in the last 20-ish years?
I'm going to enjoy this and none of y'all can take it away from me over some iffy calls.

That's what makes the calls even more suspect. The Lions were doing a great job of throwing the game away on their own. They didn't need the ref to whisper "The Joneses send their regards" before the back judge picked up his flag.

If you're having somebody over who doesn't know why people hate Dallas, just show em that game and you're off.

I love the idea that somehow the refs aren't to be criticized for a crucial call because the team on the wrong side of it didn't play all that stellar beforehand. Oh criticize em. It was a total shit call. It didn't decide the game when they were still leading with eight minutes left.

It will kick ass if a 7-8-1 team goes the whole way and wins the Super Bowl. Lets go Panthers!

I forgot about the other non-call that happened at that moment. Not only should the Lions gotten 30 yards on the PI, but they should have gotten another 15 yards whether the PI got picked up or not since Dez ran onto the field, helmet off, to argue with the refs about the call. How in the hell does that not get an unsportsmanlike penalty?

This kind of reminds me of the Tuck Rule game from the 2002 AFC playoffs. Did the Patriots benefit from an advantageous call? Damn right they did. But in the minutes leading up to, and immediately following, that play, the Oakland Raiders did nothing but load the gun, point it at their collective feet, and pull the trigger.
Oakland led that game 13-3 going into the fourth quarter. The Patriots were lifeless until Tom Brady scrambled for a touchdown to make it 13-10 with about eight minutes remaining. From that point on, Oakland gave the Patriots every opportunity in the world to take the game from them. The Raiders had a 2nd and 3 with 2:31 left, holding onto a 13-10 lead, and they couldn't get the three yards to close it out.
People also forget that after the fumble was ruled an incomplete pass, the Patriots had 2nd and 10 on the Oakland 42, well out of field goal range on that snowy and windy night. But on the very next play, David Patten picks up 13 yards, gets in Adam Vinatieri's range, and the game goes to overtime.
Then, in OT, the Raiders made J.R. Redmond and Jermaine Wiggins look like the second coming of Curtis Martin and Ben Coates. Hell, Oakland had the Patriots to 4th and 4 on the first drive of overtime, and they gave it up.
So like tonight, while some people see a suspect call that cost a team the game, I see a team that blew plenty of chances to finish it off.

Honestly I'd really rather have lost close than win in such a dubious fashion. Now, the only thing that people are gonna talk about is how the Cowboys got bailed out by the referees and don't deserve to be playing next weekend.

I'm guessing I missed whatever the controversy is since I was probably outside at the time, but these drives simply show the Lions "Lionsed" this game away. No single call, nor a series of calls, trump those pathetic ass drives.

Be the other way around people wouldn't be saying the Cowboys got screwed I would. Screwed is screwed, no matter who it is. As I mentioned before, when my team benefited from an obviously bullshit call at a critical moment, I was relieved to see them lose the game anyways. I would rather lose the right way than win the wrong way.

They can spin it that way, and act like one horrible call cost the team the game, but who cares?
