I'm sorry, as someone who can appreciate its history, but raised on mid-to-current WWE and WCW, the NWA gold looks like they finally made a belt for the Eurocontinental honours.

I hate this design, it looks like a low rent European title. Maybe it's because I associate the belt itself with Jeff Jarrett and TNA.
The title itself is something I always try to keep track of though, as it's the oldest title still active, I think.

The NWA belt is fine for what it is and it's the perfect symbol for the company it represents. It's a relic from a bygone age that only really has value to people who are marks for that era, basically the belt version of the current incarnations of 60s and 70s pop bands that have kept on going, performing at county fairs with an ever changing lineup, many of who weren't even born when the band was great.

I like how unique it looks, and admire the legacy, but totally agree that it looks very mid-card.
Winged Eagle beats it, hands down.

It's ok. It would be nicer if the US flag was on the side with the other flags. It looks terrible on the main plate.

Ain't the one that's shown nowadays a copy or replica? Doesn't WWE own the Real NWA World belt?

I prefer this to so many of the big and/or gaudy belts that have came after. And they had already made the switch by the time I really started watching, so it's not a matter of what I was raised with.

I have never liked the look of this belt and I've never been quite sure why.

I have never liked the look of this belt and I've never been quite sure why. It would look better without the flags.

I've never been that big of a fan of it, design-wise. Can't really put my finger on it. Probably because I didn't grow up with the NWA legacy around me. But I can appreciate what the belt means to the business. And honestly, I appreciate that the NWA board has never considered changing or updating the belt.

It would look better without the flags. See, I think the flags are part of what makes it look better. Yeah, the flags make the belt. The NWA world title used to defended around the world and almost every night. It wasn't unusual the belt was defended in Singapore, Japan, Great Britain, Canada, and the Caribbeans within the same month.

I tried to start a thread about obscure old belts that are technically still active recently, but it got no sold

I think Joe & Angle would've looked good holding it too Shame Angle kinda beat Sting and Cage for it but then TNA did away with it. Yeah Angle was just shy if holding it as he was the first to ring in the TNA World title belt which was a nice belt and better then what they used now. Never sure why it never was brought back after Hardy lost the title.

Part of me would like to see the NWA belt regain its former prestige. But the NWA's model of doing things is outdated and I don't see how it possibly can. I'd like to see the NWA change their business model a bit. Merge its assorted promotions into a Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, Western and Northwest promotion as well as forming a core roster of 15-20 of its best and brightest. For the title itself, they should find the biggest free agent on the indies they can find and give them the belt. Or heres a REALLY out there idea, get in contact with HHH and beg him to put in a security deposit (if they still do that) to buy the title for some random "workhorse" WWE/NXT wrestler
