So it's been about twenty years since the NFL has had a team in Los Angeles and next year is the 20th anniversary of the Baltimore Stallions' Grey Cup winning season followed by the American experiment ending with the Stallions moving up north to become the new Montreal Alouettes. So which is more likely to happen, the NFL returning to L.A. or Canada making another go at the American experiment? My guess is the NFL in L.A. just because there are a couple of teams on year to year leases with their respective stadiums and land developers trying to make a bid for a team. But I just felt like this could be a fun topic.

Personally, I'd like to see Arena Football return to Dallas.

I can see a CFL team going to L.A. before the NFL. NFL is so convinced they can get a team to work in London that I think they have forgotten about L.A..

If London gets an NFL team, I hope it's the Jaguars (sorry Jacksonville and Jacksonville adjacent posters) just because I like how British people say the word Jaguar.

It's a big enough market. Why not both?

I seriously doubt the CFL tries to expand back into Canada, considering last time, some of the American owners suggested making the field 100 yards, switching to 11 players and taking Canadian out of the name to make it more accessible to American audiences. So, they basically wanted to make it into the NFL?

CFL is never going to do the American Expansion again. The maritimes getting a team is more likely. Plus wasnf there reports the Rams are likely going to move back to LA?

Also, I think the NFL wants football back in L.A. more than L.A. does. I've heard some people from the city saying that they prefer no team since they can get any game on TV, and San Diego is close enough for them to drive down and see a live game. Then again, I've just heard from a few people.

The NFL going back to LA is a when, not an if.

The NFL going back to LA is a when, not an if. Exactly. I don't see how people can say the NFL has forgotten about LA when there's at least 3 teams interested in moving there to the point that the NFL and the Seahawks are planning for Seattle to become an AFC West team again in the next 3-5 years. Trust me, LA is getting an NFL team before the CFL tries to expand here again.

Hey the Baltimore team worked until the NFL went back That's because Baltimore is one of the biggest football cities in the entire US. There's a few reasons that despite its small geographic spread, the Ravens' sphere of influence is one of the most lucrative NFL markets. There are only a few cities where a CFL team could be set up here, and much like what happened to the Stallions, a local CFL market would rapidly disintegrate once an NFL team moves in. An LA team is something that is highly likely to happen in the next 5 years or so.

An NFL team in LA is most likely to happen soon. I just hope the Rams don't go back there. I've been a fan since I was 10.

Also the Baltimore team had one of the best management teams in the CFL and continued their excellence when they became the Montreal Allouttes.

It has to be NFL. Don't get me wrong, I like the CFL, saw every home game when we had a team, but I could not help to notice how befuddled the average person who just went to a game and was wondering "Where is the forth down?" and "What the flying feathery f*** is a rouge?"

The idea of the CFL ever doing anything that stupid again is hilarious. These days they limit their expansion to starting and folding a team in Ottawa ever couple of years.
