All the times I thought it couldn't get any worse Yeah, They fixed one of the problems of the New Blood angle from WCW, by making the Millionaires Club the bad guys... but uh... forgot they still needed to write a satisfying ending for it. Didn't help that the Frontline looked like complete goobers compared to the MEM most of the time. Yeah, like when the MEM would get to the ring and beat the f*** out of Joe with no one helping him. You know, since Scott Steiner is blindingly fast, how could they ever possibly catch up to him?

In retrospect I probably was too hard on TNA for Fourtune. Which I thought were lame rip-offs of the Horsemen but they became quickly very watchable.

I've often wondered if I've been too hard on TNA. The problem is, give them long enough, and they eventually justify your criticisms, however harsh they may appear to be initially.

This is a tough one. A lot of the things I have dumped on, were still today, completely justified.
But there were a few times, like the whole Clair Lynch saga, that I wish I had just sat back and enjoyed the absurdity of it.

I drifted away at some point shortly after the first Joe vs Angle match. In retrospect I probably should have stuck around a little bit longer, or at least watched a few of the PPVs as they're free over here. (Although I did watch for a short period before Hogan joined)

World Elite went over as cleanly as you'd like at the end and it looked for all the world like they were transitioning to WE as the next big heel faction. Then they signed Hogan/Bischoff and the direction changed on them. AJ Styles came off extremely well out of that angle and had beaten every one of MEM and ended up world champ, then carried it very well up until the Monday night debacle. I liked the MEM angle but as mentioned the endgame was clouded by the loss of follow up.

The Main Event Mafia were amazing in retrospect. No doubt. I will say that it dragged on for a lot longer than it should have and ultimately didn't "make" anybody but those guys were entertaining as hell together. And at least this angle started good as opposed to, say, Aces and Eights which started with some of the worst beatdowns in wrestling history and then went nowhere for forever.

When Bobby Roode turned heel in 2011, I was so pissed I stopped watching and swore to never come back because they managed to get me invested in the prospects of a Roode face run, and instead they turned him heel because Hogan thought he wasn't ready, brother. But then, Roode turned out to be a great heel champion, and all the word of mouth got be back into the product months later, in time to watch Aries beat Roode for the title in one of the greatest moments in the company's history. I still think it was the wrong decision, at least the way they did it. What I really think they should have done was had Roode beat Angle for the title, promise the first shot to Storm at the next PPV (maybe with a match with Angle there then Storm the one after it), then have Storm win leading to Roode going nuts and turning heel on him after that. Would've felt much less rushed and much less like a weird backdoor way of doing it, plus then their biggest PPV of the year wouldn't have had such a terrible ending. And to fit the theme of the thread... The way they did the cash-in was absolutely idiotic but it was probably the right call to not let Hernandez anywhere near the TNA title.

In retrospect I still hate the Main Event Mafia angle. By 2008, AJ Styles and Samoa Joe were already main event players and shouldn't have been losing to washed up has-beens like Kevin Nash, Booker T and Scott Steiner. It felt like a story line written by someone who had never seen TNA before. To add insult to injury, the "TNA Originals" had to request help from former WWE guys like Mick Foley and Team 3D.

It is impossible to be too hard on TNA, because they are in the business of disappointment. Any time something good happens in a vacuum in TNA, it is the either the result of the wrestlers, blind panic, or good luck. And rest assured they will go out of their way to ruin everything all over again.

In 2005 and 2006 I felt I was hard on TNA, but just for the little things. Little psychology issues with wrestling, here and there. But looking back and what TNA would become, holy christ, I might as well have been critiquing da Vinchi paintings and then getting drawings of stick people afterwards.

Immediately I wrote off Robbie E as nothing but a Jersey Shore cash-in who would fade after a couple months, but he's really an exceptional undercard talent.

I hated Roode getting a main event spot when i believed it was still AJ's Joes and Daniels time but after the heel turn and his great promos i became a fan.
