It doesn't get mentioned a lot here since it was fairly recent, but Edge's retirement speech on RAW gets me simply cause of how out of the blue it was. He came out like he always did, he wrestled the week before, was on the show the week before, held his World Title like he always does, then he began speaking and getting more and more emotional as the minutes passed. By the end of it, I couldn't contain myself.

Death aside, my favorite FEEL GOOD emotional moment is Eddie's WWE title win on Brock. I would have loved to have felt the pure joy that everyone felt in the building that night. Michael Cole's commentary, especially during the celebration, is why I can never hate him. Probably good enough to get Cole in the HOF itself.

Putting deaths aside, a few for me:
- Edge's retirement
- Mark Henry's "retirement" prior to the turn
- Daniel Bryan's title wins

In hindsight, Stone Cold's last match.
Watching it back and seeing Rock talking to Austin after it's over, he pats him on the chest and leaves to let him have his moment in the ring alone it gets me every time. It really sucked knowing my favorite would never wrestle again, but I'm just glad he was still able to walk away as things could have been a hell of a lot worse knowing he could have very died.

Randy and Liz, #2 comes in distant second.
One that hasn't been mentioned yet (I don't think) is the scene of Flair, worn, barely able to stand, everything that was in him flowing away, still holding up his fists trying to go and then "I'm sorry. I love you."

Very good question. I won't put death and the tribute shows into consideration.
Mick Foley's first championship win and celebration.
Henry's fake retirement.
A few recent ones would be Bayley's emotional speech after she lost to Charlotte 2 NXT specials ago. And of course Sami Zayn's win and celebration.

Going with something not mentioned.
Kurt Angle winning the WWF title in his hometown at Unforgiven 2001, shortly after 9/11, a hell of a feel good moment.

It will always be Benoit winning at Wrestlemania XX for me and that will never change. In at second is Daniel Bryan finally winning it at XXX, if we are talking sad emotional it will be his month of hell afterwards (The injury, his Dad dying, Connor dying, having to hand over the title).

The most emotional I've ever gotten at something WWE has done was the Raw Eddie Tribute show. The child crying on his dad's shoulder and his dad crying just as hard as him. Gets me every damned time. Also, someone once asked why I cried when Eddie died. She said she didn't understand because he was just a wrestler. I explained to her that she cried at the end of Million Dollar Baby and that Hilary Swank was actually still alive and it was the character who died whereas Eddie was a REAL f***ING PERSON. I don't talk to her anymore. My wife asks this everytime I cry during events like this. My response is always, regardless if I liked the person as a wrestler, and in Eddie's case I didn't, I still grew up watching these guys. Seeing someone Everyweek for almost 20 years and one day they are really gone, its emotional. Especeially when you see everyone else's emotions at the events, watching 'monsters' like Big Show and Mark Henry breaking down, its hard to watch.

My idea for a final Hogan match would be the most emotional moment ever (maybe) Though Hogan's ego would never allow him do it. Say Hogan was to do a match at Wrestlemania next year, he passed the medical et al. How about if they had Hogan saying he can't do it anymore, he's too broken down, brother. He's just here to help the young dudes. But a heel beats down Hogan or maybe Hogan is forced to wrestle by an authority figure. It could be a pretty neat "Rocky Balboa" kind of storyline where Hogan has to dig down deep one last time. He could even reference his back surgeries and say he can't even do his finish anymore. Then have the match be a brawl and have the, in real life and in kayfabe, severely limited Hogan have the fight of his life but just come up short. It would be neat to have him training ala Rocky. ----------------- Poster Showcase added: I'd love for him to reference the back surgery and bring the real life troubles into it. I think that's definitely the shades of grey that WWE could do with utilizing rather than the whole "no faces and heels" bullshit. Especially if you also had Hogan visit people of his past for advice with some telling him not to do it, like him asking Jimmy Hart if he'll be there at ringside with him and Jimmy saying he can't support Hogan killing himself. Maybe him training with Show, trying to recapture the fire of the man who slammed Andre, the old Hogan. Maybe even show him stretching with Bruno and working out with DDP, trying to come into his own physically. It would be a great performance piece, biopic like, culminating in a perfect retirement match. Though only if Hogan actually goes away afterwards and stays retired. ------------- I added- Except in reality if Hogan did do one last match he'd be "hanging and bangin' dude" and acting like he could still do what he could do in 1984. It'd be a trainwreck. But if he did my idea, tweaked his character like this, sure it "weakens" the Hogan character, but he is like 61 and he has had eight back surgeries. He should be weaker. He could still do the Hulk up. Maybe he could be practicing a new finisher in his training vignettes. He would get more sympathy if he plays it like he cannot win, he isn't sure he should be doing this, but damn, his pride has been tested and he is going to go out there and do his best. A little bit like Rocky. He loses to some heel and then never wrestles again. This gives him an excuse to basically stink up the joint (in terms of an actual wrestling match) as it would all be based on spectacle as long as Hogan can take a few bumps. ------------- Urn Anderson added- If they did this and put him against a monster heel who spent the match beating him from pillar to post, the hulking up spot would almost assuredly be one of the biggest pops in history. ------ I added
