The Rumble runner-up is always weird to try and call, because sometimes they try and make it someone who does kinda legitimately stand a chance of winning - like Cena in 2010, Jericho in 2012, all those times Triple H did it, or Ryback in 2013 - and sometimes they just go left-field with it like Reigns, Santino, Kane, or Big Show.
So I just thought we could see if anybody'll be able to call it in advance. But I decided to keep the actual poll options to just the semi-likely contenders for it, I guess so that I can look like an idiot when it turns out to be Titus O'Neil.
Anyway, yeah. I'm guessing based on recent stuff that they're going to do the stupid thing and have Reigns win. That in mind... From a pure drama perspective Ambrose would be the best choice to go up against him, but that'd also for sure get him booed and assuming they have any sense at all they'll probably have the runner-up in that case be Rusev. Maybe Rollins but even then you run the risk of it. Still kind of do with Rusev given where the show's at but less so.
Added Cena since they like to do that thing in a lot of recent years of the title match loser entering the Rumble and the roster's pretty damn thin. Though I figure Cena / Lesnar's going on last because they're under the delusion that the third straight no-frills singles match in five months is still a big deal so I don't actually expect him to be part of the Rumble.

Rusev
Which originally auto corrected to Ryder for some reason.

I could see them wanting to tease Rollins as a heel winning it, he'll be in the final four I think. I don't think Cena will be in the Rumble match, since he's in the title match at the Rumble. They do seem to like doing babyface vs babyface showdowns at the Rumble, so I'm gonna guess Ziggler, with Reigns winning. Ambrose also in the final four there.

I think if it comes down to face vs. face, Reigns isn't the one winning. Unless they maybe tried a respect angle with him eliminating Ambrose to win then Ambrose shaking his hand and hugging him to try and smooth it over (and set up a future feud), but outside of that I think if it comes down to him and another face it might be a sign they've backed down because they have to know how much the crowd would be siding with the other guy by default.

That is a good point, the crowd could definitely be behind the underdog like Ziggler or Ambrose in that situation. Though the crowd is pretty into Roman too. I don't think he'll get the Bootista heat here at least, but anything could happen. Rollins is the only heel I can think of who they'd book as runner up, with respect to Rusev. But since he's got that briefcase and can cash in at WrestleMania if he wants, he doesn't seem like the most dramatic choice for the runner-up.

Idk if they'd have Rusev as the runner-up. They might see him getting thrown out by one guy as Being equal to him getting pinned or submitted. If Rusev is in the Rumble, I see it taking more than one person to take him out.

The Rumble crowd's going to be anti-Reigns. Maybe not every crowd will be immediately (or at all to be fair), but they will.

Could be, but he isn't Cena, he's a newer guy with a kind of badass gimmick that kind of feels a bit 90s in some ways. And he's not a horrible worker in my opinion, plus plenty of sloppier workers have been over in ECW. Is it the anti-establishment/counterculture kind of vibe that you think will make that part of the audience boo Reigns? I myself am a fan of that kind I guess, I loved ECW, and I don't mind Reigns. My favorite moment as a wrestling fan was One Night Stand 2006 and that hot ECW crowd letting Cena have it and that great moment for RVD, so I can see where you're coming from. I just don't think a guy from a popular stable who's just starting as a singles guy and hasn't held the world title yet could get Cena heat or Bootista style heat just yet. At least this mean's I'll get to see RVD do a rolling thunder on somebody and hopefully eliminate Heath Slater and Fandango before he goes. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

If Rusev is in the Rumble, I see it taking more than one person to take him out. During Cena v Brock, Cena will have Lesner in the STFO in the middle of the ring when RUSEV PUTRIA RUSEV PATCHKA echos out. Cena will foolishly get up to stare at the stage only to turn around into an F5. If the rumble is on last this'll mean Cena interfering to eliminate Rusev. This would be a rubbish way to finish the rumble so I think it'll happen early. Final 4 Reigns, Ambrose, Rollins and Wyatt. Ambrose eliminates Rollins finally getting his revenge, Wyatt dumps Ambrose over the top (their feud is still ongoing) and Reigns spears Wyatt over the top.

It won't be Ambrose. I doubt he's even in the match. If Reigns eliminates Ambrose to win, that Philly crowd will give him Batista heat.

I sort of feel this Rumble will be similar to 2005 with the two biggest new stars of Ambrose and Reigns in the final but we the real winner might be based on crowd reaction? That or Bray Wyatt in the final two which would make a lot of sense if Ambrose wins the rumble

If Reigns is to win, I'd say Big Show. Based off the end of Cena/Rollins at TLC, Big Show being with Rollins(?), and it working so well for Cesaro at the Andre the Giant battle royal, I can see Reigns picking up Big Show and throwing him over like it's never happened before.

If Reigns is winning, it's got to be Ambrose.
I think Dolph will do well but I doubt they'd keep him in until the last two. He'll probably be the iron man
