Jesse's story in "A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 2" is by far, the most elaborate coming out in movie history.

This movie is bad by any sequel standards, but the fact that its in between the original and god damn Dream Warriors, this thing comes off as the worst horror sequel of any of the major franchises.

Outside of Christopher Young's score & Robert Englund's performance as Freddy, Nightmare II is the worst of the original NOES series that is until Michael Bay/Platinum Dune's reboot was made.

You had the Depp cameo, Alice Cooper as Freddy's father, the title card which had the Nietzsche quote and quote from Freddy, and the music video at the end. So those make it better than 2. |

Those saying that part 2 is a bad movie are looking at them way too seriously. It has the homosexual undertones in it that make it stand out. Now if you wanted to say dream Child or Freddy's Dead was the worst, I could understand. Series was tired by those points and you could tell. Even the make up was horrible at that point.
