Another new Destination America show - TNA Wrestling's Greatest Matches starts with a three episode marathon on January 10th at 10am ET, then two episodes on January 16th at 9am ET, and then settling into its new timeslot of Saturdays at 12pm from January 17th. Can't say it'll last long, given the title... www.impactwrestling.com/news/item/6260

Hmmm. It does seem Destination America might be trying to take advantage of TNA's name recognition, which could go against the argument of changing the brand, which is what I would have liked to see them do. I wouldn't do just matches either, I'd try to throw in big angles to try and establish top TNA moments, which they haven't done in their history.

Given TNA's once proclivity for burning through months worth of angle progress in the space of your average TV quarter, it might behoove them if someone was to come in and cherrypick the more important moments that build to the match in question. It might lend an air of coherency otherwise lacking.
Take that Lethal vs Flair business, for example. The show it was actually on was so stewed in happenings and they rushed on from it so fast, it never really stood on its own, but watching it in hindsight, away from its context, lends it an air of eventness.
The TNA name resurfacing is a disappointment.

We're gonna need a new ratings metric after Best of Gunner breaks the Nielsens.

9 AM ET: Best of Rob Van Dam 10 AM ET: Best of Mr. Anderson What did we do to deserve this? So what will they air for the other ninety minutes? Because outside of Anderson vs Angle in the cage, and Sting beating the shit out of RVD, there's nothing.

9 AM ET: Best of Rob Van Dam 10 AM ET: Best of Mr. Anderson What did we do to deserve this? Is that seriously what they're leading with!?!? Holy crap, that's not incentive to tune in at all. Although, TNA being TNA I'm shocked they didn't lead with Sting and Hogan or something

Have to love how they continue to act like having Kurt Angle is doing anything for them at this point.
Then again, their whole selection for those early episodes just feels like they're trying to show off all of the noteworthy WWE guys they have a good amount of footage of with the Knockouts and Joe just there as tokens.

Another show? Good grief. Vince McMahon must be kicking puppies now. After all the time, money and effort the WWE spent trying to get a legit TV channel, TNA seem to have blundered their way into getting one for free. If this keeps up, this time next year Destination will be The Impact Channel.

My immediate reaction was excitement because I was thinking, "Good, Destination American may really be getting behind TNA after all." Then I saw that one of the blocks really was a "Best of RVD" show. Still, excited overall, but RVD's run was atrocious. It's good to Destination America is giving TNA some support, but new potential fans are going to be turned off quick enough if all TNA do is depend on the name value of their FORMER wrestlers.

Basically it just TNA's old Epix show with a new name. So far it's Impact, a replay of Impact with ReAction mixed in, and Epix as part of the new lineup. Guess a tv version of TNA 24/7 is next. That or Dixie's reality show.

For both they can air the match with Anderson and Van Dam where after coming to a draw the fans were attempting to get them NOT to restart the match.
In fact, show that one in both episodes. That'll perfectly sum them up.

But seriously, whose decision was it to lead with a guy who no longer works there, and a guy who I forgot still works there until this thread? This company has more shows on cable in the US than WWE does and they shit on the silver platter they were handed.

Best of RVD....
He had a good one with Jerry Lynn. And uh....he wrestled AJ Styles, one time, so that'll probably be on there. The match with Roode for the belt was solid. He beat Joe in like 6 minutes of an awesome dream match tease the first time they wrestled.
My point...yeah ol' Van Dam he ain't what he used to be, but he had some good matches in TNA. He's not completely un-motivated and inept. Just, kind of.

9 AM ET: Best of Rob Van Dam 10 AM ET: Best of Mr. Anderson What did we do to deserve this? Couldn't they instead show that to the captured ISIS terrorists as interrogation, Or would it be going against the Geneva Convention?
