Everyone knows his cover of "With a Little Help From My Friends" but I've always loved his cover of Traffic's "Feelin' Alright."
Sad to lose such a distinct, gritty voice.

He also did "Up Where We Belong," which is one of the greatest love songs ever written.

Ah f***. Loved his distinctive voice, it had that "smoked 40 Marlboro and garbled with razor blades" sound to it. His version of With a Little Help from my Friends is IMO the definitive version and I now think of it as his song rather than a cover of a Beatles track. Quite possibly the best Blues singer to ever come out of England. RIP.

I think it's more sad that I thought he passed a long time ago, hadn't heard anything about him lately.
Always was a fan of his work. Sad to hear he's gone...

Ah crap. Never really heard more than a handful of songs but he had an awesome voice. The live version of "With a Little Help from My Friends" from Woodstock is phenomenal.

Aw man, that sucks. He was a hell of a singer. He did a great version of The Beatles' "She Came In Though The Bathroom Window" as well:

I loved his live performance of the song 'The Letter' as well as his version of 'You Are So Beautiful.' I just watched Carlito's Way where his version of 'You Are So Beautiful' is prominently featured.
