Have to say, after 110 episodes I have watched so far of him, the only character of his that baffles me is Harvey Finevoice. I get 90's Kid, I get Pollo but how does a Frank Sinatra-style character clues into everything? Ah, well...at that time in 2010 that's about all we know. You'll get little hints as things go on. But carry on as you're doing and wait until the last three reviews of 2012 come up, when Linkara fills out his backstory fully. And culminates in what I personally think is the finest piece of acting he's done on the show.

Very glad he started putting his story stuff in places you could easily skip it; cuz MAN do I not care about that at all. I honestly like watching his stuff when he's talking about something he actually enjoys, like the Titans retrospective, the most.

Good. A question: Does he still at this point take suggestions for reviews? Because personally I want him to take on one of the My Little Pony IDW comics. Yeah, I am a My Little Pony fan (as seen by my sig/ava) but I wouldn't mind him doing a review on one of those since I am comfortable in my fandom that I don't mind him having fun with it. :DAnd there are some issues that should provide material as far as art or story etc. go, to have a review. Or has he kinda commented on MLP as one of the comics he will never review?

I think MLP is probably one of those things like Sonic the Hedgehog where he won't review it because he figures the fanboy rage he'd have to put up with isn't worth it.

I enjoy Linkara's stuff, though I do often disagree with him (his taste in artwork and mine clash quite often). Not big on the skits.
Really, TGWTG/ChannelAwesome is about the best it's ever been to me. Critic's getting closer to the style and feel of his pre-reboot days, Snob is bar none the funniest guy doing the kind of thing he does, Nash's Here There Be Dragons has been a really amazing show so far (the dude knows his stuff, has some wonderful timing and speaks intelligently without ever talking down to the audience - I just really wish they were more frequent), Linkara's rocking along, Todd and Rap Critic are both good and I'm digging this new guy Brandon T.

I've actually been following the guy since his text review days, I usually find him funny. His storylines are hit or miss for me. I actually though the original Mechakara story was really good, but ever since then they've just dragged out too long and he's taken things way too seriously. It seemed like the original Entity story went on for forever before he finally had the big reveal.
I definitely recommend his Miller Time articles as well as Marville. I was actually very excited when he first announced he was doing Marville, I remember when that comic first came out and reading it, thinking this was the worst comic book of all time. I'm waiting for him to start Trouble now, which I think he's doing in January.
Just noticed the new History of the Power Rangers is up, a Christmas miracle if there ever was one.

I do think he sometimes gives short shrift to comics in the early 90's given that he wasn't of age/reading them at the time. It's like yeah, you can look back NOW and see that a lot of them sucked; but you've got to put em in the context of their time.

Having had a look at his stuff that I still have to watch and I am interested in his Spawn #1 and Spawn/Batman review. Why? Because these are two comics I have actually read.

I just discovered Here There Be Dragons recently and I'm really digging it. Nash's style actually kinda reminds me of Kyle Kallgren. he's clearly reviewing a different kind of movie but his reviews are very thoughtful and his analysis is very insightful. he pulls this off while still managing to be very funny, and the Wand of Gamelon-esque cartoon at the beginning is pretty cool. another "thinking man's web reviewer" if you weel. plus it coms from a place of love rather than snarky whining, which is what I also like about Brows Held High and Cinema Snob (and Spoony when he's talking about something he actually likes).

I used to enjoy him, but once he got with Iron Liz, he became a lot more Tumblr, which got annoying. Also, he goes way too overboard on the skits.
But when he guests in other people's skits, he's a good addition.

Absolutely. I love that he can provide such background and references in a way that shows he didn't just read a wikipedia page before doing the show. He gets in-depth on this stuff without it ever getting boring. With his inclusions of the Crow and the Star Wars thing, it will be interesting to see where he goes when he wants to take a break from the princess & dragons genre. Hope he goes back to older examples occasionally, like the Harryhausen movies or the infamous and quite insane "Russo-Finish" films that MST3k featured like Sword And the Dragon, Jack Frost and Day the Earth Froze (he's a mythology buff, so he'd give some pretty neat background for what's used in those films). Really, the only thing I don't like is the infrequency of them, as he goes months between them.

I did kind of like Youngblood in the 90s, but even i could see it was a far cry from the quality of comics from decades past (i found Savage Dragon and Maxx to be much better image books, paticularly the latter).

Yeah...having run a comic shop in the mid-thru-late 90s, it was always like that.

Yeah, I was following Nash somewhat when he was doing his Classic Doctor Who reviews... but his HTBD stuff is excellent and probably better. Also I'm pretty sure Spoony doesn't like anything

His humor appeals to me and I like how he keeps his "skits" at the beginning and at the end of his vids (unlike the "new" Nostalgia Critic)...unless of course that changes over the course of his series when I hit 2013/14. Lewis mentioned in a FAQ on his own site that he's always going to keep his skits at the beginning and end of his videos so no one is forced to watch them if they don't want to. I like his videos for the most part though, like others have have said, it depends on the topic being reviewed. Marville, Miller Time, Tandy Computer Whiz Kids, and PSA Hell videos tends to be him at his best.

I prefer when he does the ultra-obscure stuff like PSA comics, Whiz Kids, and obscure 80s-90s indie books. Whole webpages have been devoted to the problems with mega-crossover events, but the stuff nothing is known about leads to more comedic potential (since you're not waiting for the obvious joke).

The Brute Force reviews are also great, as he's just enjoying the giddy stupidity so damn much it's infectious.
That, shortly after he'd finished them, there was the announcement about an upcoming Deadpool special featuring Brute Force was just the cherry on the cake.

So I gave his Worst 15 Comics I've Ever Reviewed (That aren't Holy Terror) a shot. I liked the format of that, and I'm definitely going to give a few more of his retrospective reviews (and a few others mentioned in the thread here) a shot.......but by gods, unless it was just my iPhone playing the vid's audio a certain way, his voice was piercing.
